Re: Caesars & Ballys
I will repeat this to DaBurglar and to everyone else who thinks that there is something amiss with video poker in Atlantic City:
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
STOP PLAYING THERE.
If you think there is something amiss with video poker in Atlantic City and you do not take the above advice and continue to play there anyway, then for the love of all humanity: DON'T COME BACK HERE AND POST THAT YOU THINK SOMETHING IS AMISS WITH VIDEO POKER IN ATLANTIC CITY.
This has been a public service announcement. I don't see the need to invoke "Humanity" in expressing your disdain and disahreement with my posts, I fully expect there to be disagreement with my personal conclusions and observations... for the record, your advice, repeated over and over, is clearly reasonable; read on......The week prior to my last visit last week, there was a huge event for the 7-star players, which Jeter was able to attend, and he reported how a large majority of the 7 star players both he and I are acquainted with at Harrahs-AC (and the other CET places) are experiencing a huge "Cold Spell" all at once and all at the same time, similar to what I have been reporting. Furthermore, there has been a drastic cutback in comps awarded, freeplay awarded, and many other aspects of the perks and extras that come with both 7 Star and Diamond Status. This is a lot more involved, and a lot bigger, than little ol' me simply reporting on this website that I've lost again playing in AC.....But specifically, regarding the advice to "Stop Playing there", I HAVE greatly cut back, and continue to cut back even more, on my total overall play in AC......consider, simply, that this latest trip of 3 measly days last week (June 3-6) was only my SECOND visit oveall this calendar year (2018) .....I am positive that, at MOST, there will only be one more.....1.....UNO.....Singular......Solitary......additional visit to AC (to play VP ) the rest of this calendar year, and even that may not take place. Thus, whether there is one more or NONE more visits to AC by myself this year to play VP, this will mark the LOWEST total number of visits (either two or three total visits) and days total spent visiting and playing VP in AC since 2009, the first year I started visiting and playing in AC!!!Nonetheless, I will continue to report on the few remaining trips I still make to AC, or any other destination involving VP, as I see fit and as I have the desire and energy to do so.....

DaBurglar for three years now you've been saying that you were giving up playing video poker in Atlantic City yet you still trudge on.
If every player in Atlantic City that you, jeter, FAA, whomever, knows, stops playing video poker in Atlantic City then casino management may get the message. If you people remain playing casino management may not be so inclined to change things.

I have cut back as well. No rush to return after the new market entrants open. I will experiment with night tripping in the near future. These new casinos are my chance to finally evade CET's tentacles.

Last summer CET AC had reward credit multipliers. They were 3x or more. Do they still have those this year or are they gone too?

Thanks. My wife is Diamond but has not gotten an email or TR App offer for that this year. Last year you could also earn 25TC to get a kiosk swipe for the multiplier. Last year she received emails about free stays Sunday-Thursday. She no longer gets those emails but can book a room those days for free.

WRONG.... I've been saying what I said above, that I have been steadily and significantly cutting back.....logically, if this trend of les & less continues I will cut things back to eventually NOT play at all.....I still enjoy very much visiting the AC Boardwalk and surrounding southern New Jersey area (there is a lot of Historically significant areas and sites throughout the southern half of New jersey!) To completely 100% STOP playing in AC casinos would make it very difficult and less likely to visit all the many other attractions and sites that I enjoy, since maintaining a minimum activity level (with offers of rooms and food) at a few AC casinos is advantageous for many reasons.....I've found that just a few visits with minimal play can still keep me with jusssst enough offers & stuff from the casinos without wasting or blowing significant funds..... It's a balancing act that is always changing and in need of adjustment. But it also keeps me in touch with the games and the casino scene JUST IN CASE things change or some opportunity presents itself that provides even a temporary improvement in odds or profit or comps etc. My point is, perhaps by simply playing "only 2 or 3 times per year" now and the foreseeable future yields just enough of what I want without getting clobbered by the AC video poker difficulties.....I am a long long way from what I was doing 3+ years ago of visiting once every 4 weeks for (at least) 5-6 days a "visit" with a bankroll of 1500-2000 per each trip......that translates from 65+ days a year DOWN to 9-10 days a year! Now that itself should grab a casino's attention, if numerous players of Diamond and above dropped their play activity by over 80% per year!!!! That would send a message would it not????

I'm not going to get back into a "tit for tat" with you again, especially over this. I can dig up your posts in which you stated that you were going to stop playing video poker in Atlantic City once your freeplay dried up. You stated this several times.

We all hope the 2 new casinos will bring some positive changes to the AC VP scene, but I'm not expecting it.
