Re: My Journey on Video Poker

Last update to Mesquite trip. I checked on that $1 progressive single line machine with the jacks or better 9/5 game at $10,000 for a royal. My hunch is that the couple I saw playing the machine from 11 am to at least 1:30 am were in it to win it. I checked the machine again before we left the hotel at 11:30 am ish and it was hit with royal at $4,045. Don't know how fast the meter was, and I don't know who the couple was, but they knew video poker and how to play progressives and a good game. My software analysis put that game at 102% not counting slot club points and such.
Just goes to show you that even in a casino where there isn't supposed to be any "good video poker". One can always find a diamond in the rough.
Cheers.

I have never been to Mesquite. I have seen the dollar royal at the Orleans in Vegas go over 10,000 a few times. Have never been lucky to hit one of those when they are high.

Hope you all enjoyed your trip.

Thanks case. Back home in Vegas. Escaped the casa for a brief and went to the local casino and played some .25c 9/6 bonus poker deluxe. Started with $300 and didn’t hit my first quad until I was a bit under a $100. But hit another one, went down, then hit two more. Long story short, cashed out up $16 and decided to play a bit of .25c single line fpdw. Nothing spectacular, but stayed about even keel and cashed out about an hour later at $310.75...a total profit of the session of $10.75.
Cheers

It’s a more complicated question than it sounds. To me, I don’t want a constant amateurish channel. Either it constantly grows and improved with content and quality, or not. That is, if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well. With that mindset...
The short answer is: for the foreseeable future...yes, I quit posting vp vlogs.
The long answer is: I had a lot of plans with the vlogs and live streaming with the goal of being the first to do so with video poker (as far as I know) and to rival the top slot channels like Brian Christopher, slotlady, and a slew of others. The problems I kept running into is 1. The lack of time I have to truly give a product to the viewers that they deserve and I would be proud of. Which trust me, vlogs and such take a lot of time, esp. when one does the editing themselves too.. 2. Getting permission to do so at a property that is close enough to me and good enough paytables to make it worthwhile (although cosmopolitan is video/streaming friendly and understands its advertising potential, being a primary quarter player, 98% bp will not cut it). 3. With consideration that my only advertising of the channel was on the video poker site and to a limited degree, you tube...after making scores of vp vids (over a hundred), my subs base is currently at 75. If it was, say, close to or passed 1,000, I think I would be much more inclined to find a way to somehow find some time and make it grow the best I could.
Like I’ve said before, at some time one has to go over the balance sheets and marketplace and figure out what to do with the business. My choice was fairly easy: devote more time and resources to it or stop and have more time for my family and myself. I had to choose the later.
I’m still hoping there is somebody out there who might want to give it a go who has the time and resources. I would help in anyway I could. But basically, it’s a great idea but I’m just not the right guy at this busy time in my life.
Anyway, that’s the long answer :)
Cheers!

Finished up a relatively quick session of single line .25c 9/6 bonus poker deluxe. For 60 of the 90 minutes of play, it seemed I would drop a 100, then hit a quad...rinse and repeat about 4 times. But down once again about a 100 the vp gods decided to grant me two quads about 20 hands apart and left up +$100. Interesting enough, out of the 6 quads total, 3 of them were flopped.
Cheers

Tonight’s session I started again on .25c 9/6 bonus poker deluxe...with the intention of eventually getting on the .25c fpdw game. Unfortunately, that’s what I did. On the bp deluxe, was doing the same as last time, down about a 100, hit a quad, down a hundred, hit a quad. After the 3rd time, decided to cash out about even and head to the fpdw game with a br of $300. About a 3.5 hr battle with the game (probably around 3500-4000 hands) and could not produce the ducks or royal... so ended up having to surrender -$300. That’s vp for yah.

It appears that the 2 became temporarily unlatched from your chromosome. Fear not it will reattach. I have a similar problem from cheap beer. Not saying that is your problem. Journey on ,we await.

When playing deuces wild, what’s better than getting one quad deuce is getting two. I was able to find two this time around in about 75 minutes of play. .25c fpdw. First one came after missing 4 draws of trip deuces. Holding one deuce, managed to find three more. I ordered coffee with cream/sugar and was up at this point around $136. I cashed out because I didn’t have any singles to tip the cocktails (a total of $336. Then took $35 and put it back in the machine figuring I’d play it until she came back. Well, was down to my last couple of spins and sort of upset that I was about to buy a $35 cup Of coffee, a mediocre one at that, when I saved two deuces and miraculously found another two. Then was happy I was made to wait for the mediocre coffee. Cool. So a nice flip side to the struggle of last session, leave up a total of $301 for this one.
Cheers!
P.S. can’t figure out how to post pictures in here without a 3rd party site.
Please advise :)
