I'd imagine any so called bus tax doesn't originate in AC, but in Trenton, the state capitol.

Saw the Sports Book @ Harrahs yesterday, incredibly small and lame. During football season if a crowd of any size shows up they wouldn’t be able to handle it. Sad.

To what extent are the bus companies being unduly taxed? That opinion cries out for back up meat on the bone.

Jim, I am all for your idea and observation about the powers in AC doing all they can to draw as many people as possible to AC to help ensure its long term survival....this bus tax you are talking about, exactly HOW MUCH does it typically come to and on which buses does it apply?

Regarding other things, the single biggest idea that AC can do to entice more gamblers (other than ensure the sports books are up to snuff by Mid September when the NFL gets into full swing) is to just plain LOOSEN' up all the games, and cease (or at least partly curtail) whatever baloney they might be pulling vis-a-vis the Video Poker games. The most common complaint or gripe that people in general have made about AC over the last 25 years, especially when comparing it to Vegas or other gambling locales, is that "people never win here"....ignoring the "never" hyperbole in that statement (because obviously at least some people DO win in AC, in the short term anyway...) what this really means is that they should just make it a little more POSSIBLE to win for more people....whatever short term cost they might incur in doing this, they will more than make up for in long term stability and viability.

But I am guessing, given the general attitude in most AC executive suites, the answer will be "Hell no, I am not sacrificing my next quarter's BONUS just so EVERYONE else can do better in the long run! Mmm-mm, NOT ME!"

More specifically, I never win there. I just saw a $20,000 DDB RF. Ah, the 7S life!
