Thats the downsides of Vp. All you cando is put yer tail between your legs and move on. Nobody listens to a whiner but it feels good to vent! Don't hate the game, hate your luck. You picked the machine. Kudos to Shadow for your input. Terrible Herbst gaming owns all Primm casinos. Would'nt you hate VP if you lost all the time?

This time that was not the case.  It sounds like Mike A. would of loved to have my luck so I should stop pissing and moaning.  Gotta laugh though, this is just another case of dealing with the ups and downs of VP.

Half the entertainment of playing VP is wining and bragging about it.  If you lose, all you can do is moan to get ANYTHING out of it

You got that right.  Kind of felt that I was going to hit it out of the park there for a while but the ball hit the wall right into the fielders glove.  I had this quarter machine I was playing at Binions on the ropes.  I hit everything under the sun and thought I had a good chance to hit the royal.  Sometimes you can just taste them coming.  I took a break to get a bite and the machine took a dump on me.  After flushing down two bills I gave up.  Of course my luck changed for the worse the rest of the trip.
You all know the deal.

I like the thrill of the chase and certainly like to talk about the outcome, whatever it is.  Youbonash is right also.  Time to stop whining and move on.  Don't know what got into me.  Maybe its that one stinking royal the whole damn year!!!  hahahaha...

Thanks for listening yall...

Thanks for listening yall...   Hey clwn2, your one Royal this year is better than mine!  I didn't have one stinkin' Royal in a casino all last year!  My last was in Sept of 2006 (2 that month).Granted, I don't play as much in casinos as many of you guys (and gals), but I've far exceeded the Royal Cycle!  Several times over!  That will all change when the casino is built 30 miles from where I live in 2010.  That may or may not be a good thing, but it will DEFINITELY be a change!

Guys, with so few Royals I suppose my whining about being down 7 RFs for the year didn't exact too much sympathy (17 in 950K hands).

Let's all turn it around in '08.

Fist you have to look up "alphabetical" and see what that means. Not sure how to find that one though.

Had 4 RF's in 2006 and only one in 07'$80.00 on a penny machine. At least it paid for buffet for the family. Would have been nicer to hit on a quarter machine though. Maybe Eduardo cleaned out all the royals!
According to him, it sure as heck wasn't MikeA!

You guys are killing me.  I thought most of you were locals to Vegas or somewhere on the map and played mega hands per year.  Believe me, I don't mean that in a bad way.   I have not calculated the exact number of hands that I play in a session let alone a trip.  Last year I had I think 27 trips to a casino.  Most of them were to the local teepee and I went to Vegas twice.  Usually I will get 1-2 royals a year.  This year it was one.  I am guessing that I am around 4-500 hands per minute depending on how I am doing.  So that would be approx 60-80000 hands this year.  Shadow says that he had 17 in about 950k hands.  I did the math and it works out.  At my rate of play he would have gotten the same number of royals in therory.(950,000/17=55882....)  So he got one royal approx every 55k hands.Pretty scary how the math works out.  Hell, I don't even like math but I can't help doing it to figure this stuff out.  Someone out there has got to be having better luck.
Last year I was at Pala casino in San Diego area.  I was getting slaughtered litterally on 50cent DDB.  There is a progressive $1 bank right next to the 50 centers.  As I sat there and lost my !@#$% I watched a lady hit the royal, aces with a kicker and 4s with kicker. She was not even smiling!! I know people are getting lucky out there somewhere!!

Sorry to hear about your lack of luck guys, I guess it is brutal out there no matter how well you play...

clwn2, I was not complaining ... well, OK, maybe I just a little.  But, it turned out to be my best year ever. As mentioned in another thread, the RF only account of 2% of the payback. You can get lucky in other areas still win.

It's hard to tell exactly where I got lucky since I don't track every type of hand. A couple of years ago I had 28 RFs in just under 900K hands and ended up with about the same amount of profit. I knew the reason why I didn't do better. Many of my RFs were on a progressive bank and I did not hit the RFs when the progressives were real high. Since the game itself was slightly negative (NSUD), this lowered my overall results. The game isn't available anymore.

This past year (and currently) I'm hitting some high cashback opportunities that are slightly positive to slightly negative otherwise. I think the extra CB was the big reason for my good year.
