I got slammed with down cycles upon arrival so much that it caused my latest Caesars mess: the hot cycle upon arrival. Being overly cautious, I started out small, planning to max halfway through my FP. Quad came in third hand. At Ocean, similar result. I dropped a twenty and losing another. Then a fifty buck quad to cash out +$11. I never give back a quad or above. I did return forty min later for another +$10. Two prior trips were busts, so I cooled it. Twice burned thrice shy.

Phil often refers to pay tables as odds. I've gotten tired of trying to correct him, and on the scale of his misinformation, it's relatively benign.
A few months ago I challenged everyone of this forum to a test. I asked Webman to create two identical 96% games with 10,000 coins to start. One will be locked at max coins (5) and the other locked at single coin. At the end of a time period we will see who has more money left. No one took up this challenge. I wonder why?
Because that's a terrible way to test the effects of single coin play, requiring a lot of work to set up with zero knowledge gained.

Because it would prove playing a 96% VP game with single coin saves money. Don't take my word for it. Ask Bob Dancer and ask him if I'm right.

It wouldn't "prove" it, until you had enough participants with the same amount of play over the same amount of time. A few people plunking away for a little while would prove nothing. What if the max coin player hits a royal right away? Did you just prove your theory wrong? No.

Not to mention that the result is entirely obvious and not even worth an experiment.

Sorry.

You would think anyone could figure that out. Perhaps not.

Who exactly claimed that a bankroll will last longer playing max coin on these machines?

By play, do you mean hands or coin in? Phil doesn't seem to differentiate.

All those damn APs, of course! They all say to max coin $100 vp machines no matter the paytable!

That's because Phil doesn't understand that there's a difference.

Bob, and many others, would tell you the best way to save money playing 96% game is to NOT PLAY THE DAMN THING!
