Re: Good Fortune
I've left my money in a machine twice over the years.
One was at the M - I put in $100 into a WoF slot, played a few spins, and just walked away, with about $90 left, thinking I'd only put in a couple bucks and was at 0. About 5 minutes later I realized what happened and ran back to machine and thankfully it was still there, as this was at about 7am and there weren't many people in the casino.
The second time was at Sam's Town at a FPDW machine. I had to go to the bathroom really bad so I played down to $70 and went to the bathroom, and left my money on the machine in my rush. When I realized what happened, I ran back to the machine, and some other dude was on it playing. Oh god, I figured I was gona have to call security and sort it all out but I walked up to him and told him I left money on that machine. He then produced my full $70 tito, as he'd cashed it out before he began playing. Whew!!
I'm actually kind of surprised I haven't done this more than twice. I'm pretty scatterbrained as it is, and this is something that seems like I would do multiple times.

Left a ticket in a machine once. It annoyed the hell out of me. It won't happen again.

A number of years ago we were at Binions and decided to leave. Drove down to Rio and after an hour realized my cellphone was missing. Those were the days when cellphone cases were made to be attached to belts. Called Binions security to see if I lost it there. They had it and I was able to go back and retrieve it. Never kept my cellphone on my belt again.

Years ago at Bally's in AC I hit a dollar progressive for $5,500 and forgot I had about $150 in credit left in the machine. After getting the handpay I carefully looked around to see if anyone was watching as I was in a questionable area. Took maybe 30 seconds walking toward the garage when I realized I left credits and turned to go back. The credits were gone. I think the attendant cashed them out.

When I hit a royal at the Hide Out in Laughlin, I got a handpay and forgot the $37 I had on the machine. Somebody pointed it out to the bartender who cashed it and saved it for me.

Yeah, I should have looked into who took the credits, but again there were some questionable people in the area and I wanted to get out safely with my jackpot.

dealt a straight flush 7-J diamonds for $ 500. Stared at the screen to make sure it was real, cashed out and got outta there.

Amazing! I was recently dealt a $125 quad to break even and thought I won the lottery.

That's what I said after the first time. Unfortunately, doesn't mean you won't do it again - as I've proven to myself.

I tend to leave player cards after a bust or big win. No great loss!
