Harrahs’s AC

Post by jetermacaw »

So back to my regular trip, Tuesday’s trip was to meet up with DB who was passing through from a trip to Cape May, caught another Royal. It was a good week.

Congratulations. High variance, but high results! What is 5 + 5?

5+5 means betting 10 instead of 5. That Dream Card doesn’t come free.😎

I figured. Same principle as Bally's "Bet 10" on quarter JOB.

It's not the same at all. When you play a quarter game that requires a 10 credit bet, you are, in effect, playing a 50c game. A royal would be worth $2000.

In Dream Card, you are paying those extra 5 credits for the periodic opportunity to improve (sometimes very significantly) your starting hand. But, the payoffs are based on only a five credit bet.

According to the Wizard of Odds, the return for the dream card version of 9/6 JOB, at 99.5592%, is a teeny tiny bit better than regular JOB. It does make the game a bit more fun, but at the cost of higher variance.
