For me, its just lots of good hands close together but not necessarily big ones. However, I never jump on a machine anymore just because it is-quote hot. Anytime i have done that in the past, it has been like filling the machine with dry ice besides that hundred dollar bill I will never see again.

Yes. You had gone over this when I was disinclined. Strictly $20 thrill ride; wallet inside my shirt behind my back. Machine doubling my $20 means hot.

How do you decide if a machine is "hot"?
Touch it. Seriously, there are no hot or cold machines. If a $5 VP machine runs $20 up to $125, the odds of it hitting a jackpot on the next hand do not change. The difference is you are risking the casino's money, not yours. You could just cash out at $125 and take the money and run, but where's the fun in that?

If you have already won it, it's yours, not the casino's.

Good catch OMT. Some players are under the misconception that they get up and are "playing on the casino's money." Nothing could be further from the truth and as advantageplayer pointed out: once you win it: it's your money to do with as you please.

This is a ridiculous argument made up to prove something that has no basis in reality. It's more "Advantage Player Speak" to make luck seem like skill. Look at the photo I posted. Here are the facts. I invested $20 of my own money. I cashed out $1,735.00 in real money. $1,725 of it was the casinos, now it's mine. That's all anyone needs to know.

I lost $700 last year. But that's okay, because about $20,000 of it was house money that I had won along the way.

And, if you take that money, which is now yours, and use it to play some more, you are playing with your money, not the casino's, are you not?
