Playing VP is about balancing risk with the potential for profit. I play max coin quarters so I can experience $1,000 royals. I average about 2-3 royals a year. I rarely end the year with a profit. I could cut that cost down considerably by playing nickel VP. My comps would be less, the game odds would be even worse and my royals would be $200 each.

If I took bigger risks, my jackpots may be bigger. My bankroll swings would be greater and my end of the year cost could be much higher. There is no "free lunch" in casinos today. Pay them now or pay them later. Take your pick.
