I know nobody here remembers when the world series was rigged, because we weren’t even born yet, but with the prevelence of sports betting going eventually close to nationwide, it makes you wonder.

1919 was the year. I remember my dad talking about it when I started collecting baseball cards. His dad had placed a small bet on the series in a local bar and lost because of it.

I made 3 futures bets last October on the upcoming Super Bowl. I'm not a big gambler, but I did put $10 each on the Falcons, Eagles and Patriots. Patriots win will pay 10 to 1. Better than nothing and at least I have somebody to pull for!

Even if they lose, you still will lose $20 less than me on the season.
