But politics aside what are your thoughts on these machines? The ones I play on have bad pay tables but I like the convenience and relatively low risk. For me playing here and in "mini casinos" is good practice.

I play them sometimes. I just play one quarter since i'm cheap and the $500 limit doesn't make betting 5 a much better percentage play. Some places have 7/5 Super DDB which is 97.69% at one coin.

I haven't done too shabby on them.

The article is an interesting read. I mostly agree with the authors. They screwed up implementation.
