Strategy of using free play

Post by Player422738 »

Let’s say u are given $50 free play. Do you plan to wager $50 and take the winning and leave or u plan to play til you hit something big or lose all?

I want to how everyone treat the free play credits. To me this is one of the hardest decisions to make.

I've done all three... depends on the day and where I am.

I don't go to the casino simply to pick up slot play (I refuse to call it "free", since it's earned, not free), I go to play for, usually, some considerable time.

Normally, the amount of slot play isn't that much compared to what I usually put into a machine at the outset, so I just add it in and play until I feel like quitting.

It depends. Regular free play I just add to my play, but sometimes I chase promos and will get play specifically from that promo. That I often play thru once and cash out.

I do pretty much the same thing as Billy. If i plan to stay and play at one casino, I will just get the free gift and play the free play at the other one and split. Sometimes I have free rooms like tonite at both casinos. In that case, I wont decide until I get there. If one is too smoky or the machines i like aren’t available that weighs in on my decision too.

I have found out one thing recently. The longer you stay away from a casino, the more they court you and offer you sruff to get you back. If you can figure all of that out and time everything, one can make out pretty well with the proper discipline.

Competition is really heating up in the northeast. I have noticed an increase in free play and free stuff and offers recently, but the paytable situation and mainteance of vp machines is getting worse. In general, they love max bet penny slot players way more than us

Yes for the most part. Could also apply to Foxwoods. For now my time is .85 mohegan and .15 Foxwoods. That may even out soon though. Would like to get my platinum status back at Foxwoods. New cycle just started and they have been very goid to me considering my minimal play there.

I let my wife play it all. You would not believe how consistently she cashes out over the $250.
Add her $50 and it's a nice cushion for my 2-out-of-3 negative performance.
Seriously, she is so disciplined, it is unreal. The results are there for me to learn from. How's that going?
A work in progress.
