Has anyone ever hit a Royal
holding only a 10? This question has been at the back of my mind for ages. It's a bad play for sure, but sometimes you just have to go for it, right?
(For the record, I haven't hit just holding a 10, don't think I ever will either.)

nope because its not worth it, your gonna lose alot of money seeing a 1 card hold of royal with a ten than what the other 4 cards have to offer.
but i did get a royal hold 2 cards in aces and faces which was the incorrect move but damn it was the fastest 5minute session of video poker of my life making that wrong play

If it ever happens to me, I either mis-held a pair of 10's or I'm playing some ridiculously high royal progressive where it may be the proper hold. The former is probably more likely than the latter.

My wife has hit a few royals holding Ace Ten playing deuces wild. With the wild cards in the deck, she gets more wild royals than I do playing according to the software. Holding just a 10? No way, unless 10s are wild.

I know you don't have this game down there, but in NSUD (800, 200, 25, 16, 10, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1), A,10 suited is the correct hold when the other 3 cards are specifically ONLY a 9, 7, 5 of different suits. I've played this game a ton here before it was removed and never had this opportunity.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 3:46 amMy wife has hit a few royals holding Ace Ten playing deuces wild. That's really interesting Jstark. It has to be that specific combo, and nothing else?
I believe A-10 suited is also a correct hold in KoB joker poker with a 4700 payout for the Royal. That's been my game of choice recently.

I've hit an A-10 Royal on K or Better Joker Poker playing $2 for a $9400 payout. While waiting to get paid I moved over one seat, copied a ladies numbers who was harassing me for playing ten bucks a hand. I asked her if she wanted to show her how to play Keno, she said yes. Hit the max coin button on Super Keno and caught 7 out of 7 for a $26,000+ .
