add your numbers together, example : 2-3 = 5 5+ 2 = 7 5+3 = 8 so pick 2,3,5,7,8 the random of adding seems to work up to 7 numbers

It's always a crapshoot. I play different combinations, but like picking 7-10 numbers on multi card, overlapping.

A pattern is not neccessary in keno but useful in 4 card or multicard when playing with a set of primary numbers where multiple hits can occur. I do have my pattern and card selection choices that balance and return an acceptable return. Lots of playing and trial to figure it out. But then... some days are diamonds...some coal.

When playing 4 card the following patterns almost always hit well.
1, 2, 3, 11 , 12, 21, 22
11, 12, 21, 22, 31, 32, 33
2, 11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 23
11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 23, 32
1, 2, 3, 11 , 12, 21, 22
11, 12, 21, 22, 31, 32, 33
2, 11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 23
11, 12, 13, 21, 22, 23, 32
