In a casino do you play one video poker game?

Why do you play video poker? What is your favorite game and why?

i usually play ddb because that is the one i practice on the most but i have a tendency to go with what feels right at the time.  sometimes i move around from machine to machine and sometimes i lilke the feel of a machine and will play it all night long.  overall i do pretty well.  i just hit a royal on the spin poker deluxe on this site a few minutes ago,  i would surely like to do that at the casino.  lynn

Because of a limited daily bankroll ( I play every day ) and only DW quarter and dollar hands. I like to play off hours 10AM or after midnight.  I play onlly a dollar at a time and try every one of the 12 or so machines no more than 3 times before moving unless the machine produces or I like the initial deal.  If the machine produces, I'll sit down and play as long as it continues to play to my advantage.  Once it cools down or stops paying, out comes my card and on to the next machine.  BTW these are Cat3 machines based on a Lottery system of pay offs, not true Vegas style Cat2 machines; a big difference.  But it is the only game in town.  I try to catch a machine that is nearing the end of it's set point and needs to award the remaining prizes.  I know I'll probably get flame for some of my statements, but this works for me.
Some day I'll hop on an airplane, go to Vegas, and play a real VP machine!

I never jump around, I play only 10/7 double bonus and have been very lucky at this game, I've played it for several years now, I have for the last 4 years played at the Palms on the $2 machine, they have two when you hit a royal you make $8,000. I play from 7 am until around 5 pm rooms are nice. I have recently heard that the Silverton also has 10/7 games but I get no offers from them but then I have not visited the casino, I am fully comped at the Palms room and food, I believe you need to perfect one game and stick with it if you are wanting to make money. Hope this helps. Grace Greer

Like many others my favorite game is 10/6 DDB.  I play mainly at Red Rock, Palms and GVR.
I play quarters and dollars.  If I don't hit a couple of quads on my first hundy on quarters I move.  On dollars I'll wait until my second hundy.

Yes I know my chances are the same no matter what machine I'm on as long as the paytable is good.  I just feel better if I move when I'm on a losing streak.

My wife says you need to be in tune with the RNG.

I like that Trent (be in tune with the RNG) Got a real chuckle out of it and will definitely remember it!

I too like DDB.  Right now I'm still at the nickel level as I hone the strategy and get it down pat.  I posted elsewhere that I hit two Quad-Aces both with kickers.  Quite a rush.

I tend not to switch machines. I'm an old cynic I guess and figure one machine is as good as another (same pay tables of course) unless one machine has buttons that stick of maybe the video is blurry or something like that.

When you sit down to play video poker do you sit on one machine and play one game or switch things around and try other machines or games? Do you hop from one casino to another if there are many around like in las vegas?
Hmm. That name looks familiar.  Anyway, my usual routine on single line games is: JOB, then Bonus, then Bonus Deluxe or Double Bonus, then Double Double Bonus.
