Re: First winning session of the month

After a really bad session, I remind myself life is one long session.

The Gubermint tells me I have to track sessions by the calendar year. Other than that, what difference does an individual session, week or month make?

BR, that's all well and good except as I posted in 2017 (referring to similar posts by you), the "Long Run is Not Guaranteed". If my wife and I are fortunate to be able to resume playing VP at some point, we will view each session independent of any other in that it may be our last one. That is our reality. It maybe that way for others. Hopefully not for you. Here is the link to the previous threat https://www.videopoker.com/forum/viewto ... ed#p102917

If you've already played your last hand, or you have a million to go, it doesn't matter. Nor should it.

I keep records and do look at the long run. Yesterday I had a breakeven session on .50 9/5 SDB at Borgata. Guy next to me playing the same hits 4 Aces and then 4 Jacks in first 5 hands, cashes out up $ 700 and says I'm done for the day.

And I hope he enjoys the short term loan the casino gave him. In the long run, individual sessions don't matter. It sucks driving home for an hour after losing your days bankroll, and is great driving home after a fantastic session, but at the end of the month or year, it all runs together.

wildman,
how often do you go to the casino?? I was just curious with that many Royal Flushes!!
Congrats!! The best I have ever done is to hit 5 one year out of 11 trips.
did finish with a winning year that year.

Vicki, I have made 93 trips so far this year. About 13 trips a month. If I was retired it would be double that. Last year I had 21 single line Royals my record for a year. Looking to beat it this year. I play between 40,000 and 60,000 hands a month. The more you play the more chance of hitting one or two!

I agree Bill, it took me a lot of time to understand and get used to the swings of the game. There will always be highs and lows, but in the end the longer term average does play out over a 12 month time frame.
