Re: Denomination Dilemma

Post by FloridaPhil »

To make everyone happy, I taped a copy of the nine repetitive items on the front of my PC. Here's a pic. In the future, I will check the list so I don't keep repeating myself. My purpose for being on this forum is to share my experiences with other players. My experiences are may not be the same as yours or those of the experts. I want all members to be able to discuss their experiences as well. This may mean we have disagreements from time to time. As long as we treat each other with respect, this may work. I intend to do my part. We will see what happens.

Posting about Recreational Play does not require ranting about Advantage Play.

Posting about Recreational Play does not require misusing the terms "math" and "strategy."

Posting about Recreational Play does not inoculate the user against criticism from others' points of view.

Posting about Recreational Play does not require ranting about Advantage Play. [duplication intentional for emphasis]

Those nine statements are a perfect summary of every point I have ever made on this forum. I would change a few of the words, but their meaning would be essentially be the same. There is no need to repeat them.

Enough piling on FP. Webman has, and will, keep him in line should the need arise in the future. I think Phil will comply with Webman's instructions to him. Peace.

After all this consulting, I actually hit a max BP quad Aces before my Ocean walk. This made me even more reluctant to suffer 8/5 quarter JOB. I won $50 on FP, gave it away. Recoup with interest. Ensure a triple digit win after a triple digit loss. Must toe the (bottom) line. First time in three weeks I didn’t temporarily lose my phone at a casino!

Love it when that happens! BP is great. It's the best game at most of the casinos where we play. You still get double your money for two pair, but some of the jackpots are better. Every now and then you can find BP that pays $175 for all quads. I got on one of those machines in Hollywood last year and really cleaned up.

I am another one that thinks you should just play BP for quarters. Have some fun and some days you go home a winner. Days when you lose perhaps the loss will be minor. I gamble a lot but for the most part keep my amount wagered low. The comps give me all the free rooms I need, tournaments and some food. That's what it is all about for us low rollers. Enjoy the game.

Great feedback. I am considering BP for min 50% VP play. Sure beats JOB and Sob about half the time. That hand generated about 2/3 today’s winnings.

Thanks, Brother Bill, for your advice. How did you know from what I said who could best learn from my statements? Was it the comment about ranting or the one about misusing math and strategy that gave it away?

I guess we'll see if either of your predictions comes true. Best of luck on both your forecasts and your future video poker play.

Wildman should have those 35/8/5 BP games at Soaring Eagle.
