top states for economic growth forecast

Post by notes1 »

an economic group published their forecast for state growth;

-in line with other forecasts, UTAH came out number 1. i have never been there, but sounds like a very nice state to live in. utah has been #1 since 2012.
-NEVADA came in at #4, after being in thirteenth place last year. considering where nevada was 10 years ago, quite a comeback. hmmm, maybe it would have been a good idea to buy a house there years ago, instead of renting.

all of the top five had low tax rates.

finishing at the bottom 5, hawaii, NY, vermont, ILL, CA...no surprise here.

interesting fact from article, UTAH spends the least per pupil on public education, than any other state, yet they have the highest test scores and best results. kinda debunks the idea that increased spending yields better results. wonder how much utah spends per pupil, as compared to baltimore, where in 2017, not a single student in their 6 high schools was proficient in math and english.

I have been to all the national parks in Utah. It is a beautiful state. The area around St. George in southern Utah is experiencing tremendous growth.

Hey, Illinois legalizes marijuana starting January 1, 2020. So all will be good, right? Imagine the tax windfall the state will reap.....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

if UTAH schools have the best scores and results and spends the least per pupil, what are they doing, that others are not? why is it that this is the first time i have heard such an amazing stat? why aren't utah's school programs the model for the country?

If you look up Winston Churchill's quotes on socialism, you will find some real beauties.

If you ever visit London, check out the Churchill War rooms. A series of connected underground rooms where the war was run from.Fascinating.

If you shared a few of the best with us it would be appreciated.
Better chance that way that a lazy welfare lib might see them.
