Re: Super Times with multiplier on... any change?
Every now and then someone asks me why I gamble so much. I simply tell them I almost NEVER gamble.
I've only gambled once. I nervously decided to put my chips on a marriage proposal and see what happened.
I've been paying for it ever since.
I'm sure there were extenuating circumstances involved in that gamble.

Since I have learned strategy I have always tried to follow it to a T. Mind you, I play single line DDB. I have never encountered a situation like Eduardo presented but I have to admit on one like that my circumstances at the time would come into play. If I was doing well I most certainly would play according to strategy because I know I would be wondering forever if I had made the right move otherwise. I also do not want to lose out on any huge jackpots that I had coming to me by playing according to strategy because I feel deviating from it defeats the purpose. However, if I was doing poorly and my bankroll was suffering I would most definitely keep the 4500 coins.

I love this post, been their, maybe not with the 10x but with the same type of play. How many times have you not taken the safe gamble to go ahead and play the money out and on the way home say to your self boy what if. I am getting to the point that I want to see what's behind the other door. Was playing Blackjack long time ago and a guy sitting at the table said you know its bad to be in a game and not win but its worse to be in a good game and not bet. done that.

It's been my personal experience that the long shots do pay off, sometimes. If I was in the hypothetical situation listed above, I'd go for it!
Sure you're giving up a guaranteed payout of 4500, BUT drawing only one deuce in ONE hand would more than double that amount. Not to mention the WRF, SF, 5K, 4K's that would be 10X also. With 3 deuces you are almost certain to get one or more of these. Worst case scenario would still be 2000 credits because you can't make anything less than a 4K if you're holding 3 deuces. That's still a nice payout in my opinion.
*** EDIT ***
Just realized the initial post was for 5K instead of the SF. In this case I'd have to keep the 5K payout of 7500 - 8000. Sorry for the misinterpretation. Won't happen again.

Ok, Roseannadanna ... See that it doesn't ... or, we will have to send oej719 over to your place on his "hot cycle", and straighten you out.

LOL! Do I have to sit on the "naughty step" or should I just go out back and cut a switch?

On this site the punishment is MUCH more severe. You could be forced to play on an old 80% payback, 3 reel slot machine for 24 hours straight while everyone around you is playing a 120% payback VP machine.

I'd throw em in a keno parlor with NO refreshments! Kinda like watching back-to-back Celine Dion or Barry Manilow performances.
