CLWN,I just thought it was funny. First, I forgot about a Straight Flush dealt which should always be held in DDB. Then, I totally missed the fact that the only straight flush you could have that was ALSO 4 to a Royal was the 9 thru King! That just confused the issue for me with my 2x4 brain!To clarify, in DDB 9/6 you should always hold a dealt Straight Flush even if it is also 4 to the Royal (9-K). At least that is gospel according to Video Poker for Winners. Other software may make the strategy statement about going for the Royal instead of holding the dealt straight flush. I cannot attest to that since VPW is the only software I have.And "Yes", I totally agree that one should always make the play that mathematically will return the most money! This whole topic took a "switch" when we started talking about flushes and then started talking about straight flushes.No harm, no foul.
