Re: Won/Loss Statement
Sorry, just saw this. I USED to use a card.
Very possible that casino does it different. I've only ever seen amount won or lost on those statements. Never anything else.

Just curious JS but do you mean you use other peoples cards? No harm no foul there i use my wifes card often. But obtaining a new card requires picture ID so your not getting a card in some other name i wouldn't think? Your not a Russian Hacker getting one in Hillary's name are you?
Seriously only wondering about hand-pays and W2G's. Maybe you have a magic solution for that problem which you could share with us.

Could i be digressing my own thread?
Guilty as charged! By myself i guess.
Seriously any stories out there on IRS reporting of yearly Win/Loss. Any request or audits proclaiming the need for detailed day-by-day logs or what does anybody use at tax time to use losses against the W2G total for the year?
How do you handle things at tax time? And does it work?

I just use my win/loss statements, So far no problems. My understanding is that they require detailed logs only if they consider you a professional gambler but I could be mistaken.

Haha. Just uses a couple of friends cards. If questioned about a hand pay, just say the person is taking a break and walking around. Never had a problem.tech58 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2020 3:07 pmJust curious JS but do you mean you use other peoples cards? No harm no foul there i use my wifes card often. Got it JS. I have quite a few hand-pays on wifes card usually no questions. Only once they checked the camera and no problem.

Your post gives me pause, considering your experience and level of play.
Any audits or problems behind it?
Do you use a detailed log, as the IRS could probably require if i ever get "unlucky"?

"Detailed logs" can easily be faked.
