DOW -3000, NASDAQ -970, S&P -370, the smoke is definitely not clearing.
Anyone in cash for the last month is going to get very rich very soon.

BTW no sports, no casinos, no MONEY, is madness far behind? :pinch:

Got a text from our host today as well. GN closing tonight at midnight, hotel tomorrow at 11:00 am and restaurants tonight for minimum of two weeks. At this point the only full casino open in La is Coushatta but I'd anticipate the Tribal Council following the state mandate soon.

Great time to practice VP or tidily winks.

People in cash will get rich assuming wise investment. They can plow it into bonds and tread water. Still better off than me. I think I’ll somewhat stabilize by New Year’s. It’s definitely a triple whammy now.

We received email from Coushatta as well. They are closing tonight at midnight for at least 14 days.

Both Ct casinos closed as of 8 pm tomorrow. They tried partial shutdowns for a few days and heavy duty cleaning. Ny, Nj, and Ct governors got together and ordered shutdown as of 8 pm today. The casinos played the sovereign card, but it only bought them an extra day. I’m sure with the National emergency declaration, they would have brought in the State police if necessary. After all, we make them obey state liquor laws and many other laws. I think it is for the best. This horrid virus is multiplying too fast. So many patrons are high risk seniors like myself. There are now more cases outside China than in. Italy lost close to 400 more citizens just today. It is even hitting Africa now where over 30 nations have cases. Most of them will be hit hard due to poverty, warring, and worse already there. Besides our casinos, restaurants except for takeout and delivery, gyms, theaters, etc. are shut down. as of 8pm this evening. Churches and schools too. Our cases in Ct doubled almost overnight. No doubt there are hundreds more already due to such limited testing finding them. This virus wouldn’t be so bad except the death rate is between ten and twenty times that of the regular Flu. Stay safe and healthy all. I plan lots of power walks on our long and beautiful shoreline. I can’t even get in to visit my 95 year old dad who is in an assisted living facility 5 minutes from my house. He is used to seeing me two or three times a day.

Just got text from my host. Horseshoe Bossier City, La. closed today at 1 PM. I am assuming all casinos in Louisiana are now or in the process of being shut down until further notice. No sports, no casinos.
Yes, all casinos in LA were required to close by midnight.

Well if you are desperate to go to a casino (I am not!), Arizona casinos remain open as of this moment.[urlhttps://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/ariz ... 064903002/][/url]
