Also read Joel Kotkin's piece in New Geography today. Sometimes the obvious is overlooked.

Voters please remember the dem's playing politics with the virus bill. SOLAR PANELS??, UNION PROTECTION?? WEAKEN WELFARE WORK REQUIREMENTS?? And other dem wish list items that have NOTHING to do with the crisis at hand. Lives will be lost because of their scum-bag behavior!!
Trump's general lack of action for the last 2 months (other than shutting down flights to China quickly... that was smart) will cost even more lives. I just hope deaths in NY alone will stay under 10k. Not holding my breath.
General lack of action? That sounds like a general bunch of BS. Vman, I enjoy your VP posts , but we are on the different side of this. Encourage everyone to read Victor Davis Hanson today. His piece is from Tribune Media. Outside of the hot spots like New York, this is being handled appropriately.
Car you can't educate a progressive socialist lib..
Notice that both of the responses to my original post did not really speak to my points.
This is what lib's DO.When i point out the delay tactics used in the House they don't respond because the dem. tactics are inexcusable and cannot be defended, the posters just go somewhere else with their lying comments.

Car the V.D.Hanson article is very good. I am glad we have a businessman and not a politician for our President.

And what could have the Governor's of individual states have done to control this pandemic? I know, I know, "We were waiting for instruction from the Federal Government." What a weak arguement.

i have always enjoyed vman's posts because they were fact based and non emotional. but, those posts were about VP.

as with many of the comments critical of trump's covid 19 actions, there are no suggestions as to what he should have done different, other than to close down the entire country. biden and the left called him a racist for the early call to ban chinese travel. each state elects it's own 'president', we call them governors. they are much better equipped to address necessary actions for all situations that occur in their specific territory. what is good for nys is not necessarily right for montana.

the ny governor has complained about his own citizens not taking the state's mandates seriously, not trump's fault. so far, over 4000 ventilators have been sent there, by the fed. more on on the way. according to cuomo today, there are currently 1300 on ventilators. i have not heard any discussion or press questions about what nys did wrong, not being prepared. instead, blame trump. let's remember, the city of ny and the state were both in bad financial shape, long before the virus hit. their tax base has been shrinking, due to loss of population, due to overbearing tax burdens. could the lack of money be the reason that cuomo did not buy the 16,000 ventilators that were offered to him a couple of years ago. coumo complains about not receiving enough money from just passed package. is he expecting the rest of the country to cover all the budget deficits that already existed?

nys has gotten thousands of ventilators, untold amounts of additional equipment, the feds are building additional hospitals, the navy medical ship is being sent there.

nys spent $958 million for a solar panel factory that was recently written down by $884 million. that nearly $900m would have bought a lot of ventilators. cuomo says every life is important, just after signing a bill that allows abortion, up to birth. now, nyc residents are fleeing their city, and spreading the virus around the country. think they are self isolating for 14 days? yeah, right.

Worst President ever? That's a tall order. If you know history, you know there are many competitors for this title. How about a President that used the IRS to attack his enemies? Would you choose one who committed adultery in the white house? How about a President who blames the America people for his own "maladies"? If you want to read about a President with issues, Google Andrew Jackson.

When we elect a President, we are not looking for a saint. We are looking for someone who keeps promises and gets things done. President Trump is that person. I predict he will be elected this November in a landslide. CNN will cry... Again. Barbara Streisand will threaten to move to Canada... Again. Nancy and Chuck will say the Russians stole the election...Again. "The View" will spend all day talking about how Trump is causing the ice caps to melt killing polar bears...Again.

In the mean time, manufacturing jobs will move back to America. Your kids will have a future that doesn't include the Chinese. We will be at peace with Russia. Rocketman will fade into history. Israel's security will be secure. There will still be problems. The man at the controls is not perfect. No one ever is.
I would gladly take any president that has been in office in my lifetime over Trump. That goes back to Eisenhower. Even the weakest of all Dem presidents while in office during that time Jimmy Carter. At least he was a decent person. He continues to do more to help people less fortunate than himself than any president we have ever had. What do all of the past presidents have in common? If they were faced with the current pandemic they would concentrate on bringing everybody together rather than making it about themselves like Trump has.

I realize FP when we elect a president we are not looking for a saint. But the lies, name calling, fake news BS when it does not agree with his agenda, palling around with all of the dictators throughout the world and doing nothing when they violate their treaties, I could go on but all of these behaviors go against all of the sense of decency that most of us were brought up with.

He comes across to me as a spoiled kid who stomps and snorts when he does not get his way and takes credit for others accomplishments while at the same time blaming others when he makes mistakes and never admits it when he is wrong. And I almost forgot. He thinks he is smarter than all the generals and all the doctors while it is obvious he is not. He is a loose cannon and I hope the majority of us that don't like him show up and vote him out of office in November so we can restore a sense of decency in this country.

same argument over and over....personality vs. accomplishments.

joe biden might be a nice guy, but can anyone imagine him, in his current mental state, dealing with this health crisis.

My take is this is a bio-chemical weapon. The perpetrators need to be dealt with NOW!
