Re: Promotion Abusers?
The most money I ever lost was on 99.54 JOB. You start chasing your losses forgetting that you are in a short term time frame. Even though you are currently running at a 75 percent return due to being quadless and figure if I just keep playing and up my bets, it has to turn around at some point. Ten hours later, you are playing a dollar or even a five dollar game and maybe have hit one or two quads and of course no Royals

On the other hand, the biggest days I have ever had were on 97 percent games. 18,000 twice both in the same day. Go figure that. Several days over the last few years wins of over 10,000. bucks. I attribute this to just pure luck and the larger jackpots these tough games pay out. Long term, still a loser just like probably most everyone here. I think there is something about the 99 percent or better games that make you think you can beat them and you bet accordingly.

Uh oh. Phil is going to chime in. The most I ever lost in a day was $ 2,500 on a dollar triple play double Joker at Ballys AC where I had about a 2 % edge. That's the way it goes sometimes. I did very well on this game overall though. Ran positive over the several years I played it. I agree with your comments on 9/6 JOB. Once you get down, there is no coming back, unless of course you hit a royal. Worst feeling is being down about $1,000 on dollar JOB knowing that you need to hit 8 quads in the next hour before you leave to get back to even. Never happens.

Yep, the most quads I ever hit in an hour is 5 and that is after playing vp for over 30 years. Too bad I never liked pickem poker. Those dealt quads can really bail you out. Darn typos. Make me edit almost every post. My SE phone has a small key pad and I almost never have my glasses handy when typing something. I tried using siri to post. What a disaster.

as u know Olds , its not how long u have played its how many hands . knowing a little about u I would estimate u have played apx. 15 to 20 million hands during that time ! I am in the same ballpark. I did hit 7 quads in an hour playing a 2dollar machine so 10 dollars a spin. quad pays 250 dollars so I won 1750 dollars v fast but went home losing apx.3000 dollars . it was during a good play meaning a positive expected value !!

If I was close to Mohegan Sun, I would play the dollar full pay pickems. At 99.95% and with a fairly easy strategy, a good play, even though you won't get comps. At least give yourself a 50/50 shot at winning.

A worse feeling is to be down that $1000+,after having way more quads than expected.
On a two day trip last Dec. i had an exceptional # of quads that averaged one per 214 hands.
Being still behind and feeling a "averaging out" coming on is not a good place to be.
Of course sitting here in "jail" it is easy to say "hey dummy all the previous hands have no bearing on the next one!"
A disciplined person would not let feelings affect their decisions. For me,discipline is still a work in progress. Which is somewhat of a mystery to me because for my my first 30 years of gambling i only played 21 and never had a problem with discipline.

Some casino also raise coin in on VP machines for tier scores, well above that of regular slot machines. Kind of discouragingWaiting4RF wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 9:26 pmSome places do not let you play free play on VP machines.
