Re: COVID-19 Casino Impact
If theres smoke, I ain’t goin. Will go to MGM Springfield. As a matter of fact, there has been nothing on the news I heard about the percentage of people that got the virus were smokers vs non smokers or any another relevant statistic about infected people and their smoking habits. Getting back to the casino, MGM will match my Mohegan Sun card status. Don’t know what that will get me. Not going to worry about it. Still trying to stayn Alive.

Those masks with the round hole were made for miners. They protect the miners from dust, smoke, and other particals, but do nothing for those around them. They are breathing out pure,(Or, not so pure) unfiltered, moist air. Those masks should be banned where face coverings are required.

If I was guaranteed a royal flush, I still wouldn't go. In my age group, I'm not looking to contract covid-19 and possibly die. Nope, I'll stick with videopoker.com and stay alive. Good luck to those of you who are returning to the casino!

You are right AP. I went once not long after they opened. Had to drop the girls at Bradley Airport and took the short ride up there. Stayed 2 hours. Dropped 200 on quarters on 96 percent games. Since then, they have been offering me free stuff to go back. No dice. Will have to wait and see what Ct does I guess. The only thing I may have to factor in is their free play offers. A few people I know played there pretty regularly abd were doing ok even on the bad paytables. That is only because they were offering free play at levels ten times what the Ct casinos were offering. I still don’t think it could make up the 3.5 percent difference in paytabkes.

Here is the latest on AZ Casinos. Reading between the lines, it appears guests will not be required to wear masks. Nothing about smoking. I am not going back for awhile but I will call and ask Ft McDowell and Harrahs AK-Chin on Friday after they reopen about masks and smoking.

My take would be. Where there are no masks, there will be smoke. Where there is smoke, there will be fire meaning virus. Funny how some of us are still on the casino clock. I know I am Up till 3 or 4 every night similar to my casino days. Actually they were 5 or 6.

There is no mention of smoking in the welcome back letter we received from Horseshoe or the health and safety protocols that address covid issues on cet's website. Nothing worse than getting into a nice rhythm on a vp machine and having some a$$hole plop down lighting one up.

Yes very interesting to say the least. I am curious on data down the road about wearing a nicotine patch. Maybe some other anti inflammatory meds taken ahead of time would help or even natural remedies. Thanks Paco for the links. Now I know why this is not coming out in regular broadcast news. The last thing they want prople to do is take up smoking or have those trying to quit stop trying.
