Absolutely! My mom made our sauerkraut from scratch! I do like the sweet green relish too though. As for ketchup and onions, you can load that up on my burgers. The Mrs. likes ketchup, mustard, and green relish on her dogs. By the way, in the early 195O’s, when visiting grandparents in Southwestern Virginia, the chili dogs at the counter at the local drug store, were the best I ever had. I think they were 10 cents. You got a chili dog, a side of homeade coleslaw, and a coke in the old green bottles for a quarter. Of course all of the quarters were silver back then and one could still get a Liberty Standing Quarter in change. For the youngsters out there, that quarter was replaced by theWashington quarter in 1932. No quarters were struck by the mint in 1931. The world was in the midst of the Depression.
