Aw Mike, yer so old fashioned. Here in Ca., am broadcasting came out earlier part of the 70's doing away with those corroded wired speakers and posts stuck in the ground. Food at the snack bar made casino snack bar food taste four star. Back 3 or 4 rows were usually for AHEM! Back there, you wondered WHY the windows weren't fogged. Hey CD, you could lay on the hood nowadays but you'd put a big ol' dent in the hood requiring about$3-500 bodywork.

That's true.  In my case I'd also need another $300-$500 for a trip to my chiropractor.

When I was very young my friends and I would sit on the ground outside of the fence to watch the movie.  One of us would be detailed to crawl under the fence and crank up the volume for the closest speakers so that we could hear the movie as well.  The good old days.

My buddy and I used to ride our bikes and sit on the berm and listen through a transistor radio, even when they showed the nudie movies. One day, the management got wise and had a security guard patrol the perimeter fence. We just hid in the storm drain til he passed us. What crafty kids!

My husband (the cooler) tells about when he and a bunch of his buddies went to the drive-in theatre;  two guys in the front seat, two in the back..and four or five in the trunk.  Apparently they got away with it quite a few times.  When busted the guys all crawled out of the trunk saying "Are at the border already?"All guys..I believe they actually went to watch a movie.

Shadow man is right about the medicine   Lipitor is expensive but the only way to go if you do not want sore joints

No I wasn't WW but I've been to that drive-in as well as a few others here in SoCal. The one I make reference to is the one at La mirada. Screen still is in tact but they use it for an outdoor flea market now. BTW, Lipitor is cholesterol medicine so I hope you're not taking it for joint pain as it has a few side effects. You'll have sore joints, low cholesterol blood readings and a thinner wallet!

The drive-in my husband was talking about was in La Mirada, too,  He used to take me on dates to the San Pedro drive-in.. no AHEM in those days, just watching the movies.  Plus we would stop at Tony's and get a giant pizza with everything.  No worries in those days about cholestrol, etc.

Absolutely. I experienced them. Fortunately, the medication was only mildly effective and I was put back on my old medication. The problems went away immediately.
