Are you really gloating over only 4800 dead on a day your state hit its record high number of them with no end in sight? I get you aren't into science but if you take a look at the new cases from three weeks ago, and this weeks deaths, you can use those numbers to project forward. As new cases have tripled in that time, you can expect to see triple this weeks deaths in a month. Unless, of course, it magically disappears.
New York was hit hard and early. Mistakes were made, but they adapted, initiated new tactics and overcame. For the first time in months, there were no corona fatalities a couple of days ago.
Meanwhile, Florida and many other states opened too soon, rejected masks and common sense rules and are now caught in a shitstorm.
