Re: "IF YOU BELIEVE IT'S RIGGED, WHY PLAY?"
I very rarely agree with BR on anything, but I have to agree with him on this one. I have played next to people who played vp like they would play live poker at home and just due to pure luck, have done very well even after hours and hours of playing that way. By the way, sounds like a nice place out there. We have land in the Mountains of Vermont and a family farm in very poor but absolutely beautiful southwest Virginia. There is no substitute for being able to just get away from the world and people in general once in awhile. Being a nature buff too, one can see things sometimes you can’t even put into words out in the woods, mountains, or even dessert.

In JoB only 20.6% of the the dealt hands are winning hands. You have 1 chance to improve the 80% non winning hands, overall you are expected to win 45% of the games you play.
Next time when you play, you can record the numbers to see if it is close to the theoretical numbers. And they will be close enough.
Never trust your feeding, simply because your feeling can’t be quantified.

Yes.
The numbers for each pay line top down are
4/36/624/3744/5148/10240/54912/123552/337920
Devided by total = 536180/2598960 = 0.2063
I edited my previous post a bit. Coz even dealt 4 to Royal is not a winning hand, it shouldn’t be considered as crap. So is 4 to SF or 4 to Flush etc.
But overall, non winnings hands most of time are crap.

So if you remove the push hands, you have roughly 20,000 winning hand out of almost 260,000. Mental math gives me 10,000 out of 130,000 hands, so well over 90% of hands will not give a profit. Old machines, new machines, machines that aren't invented yet.
That's not a conspiracy, that's math.

And that is why for me to get ahead even a small amount, I have to bet more after the losing hands to hopefully hit a few good hands with a higher bet.

Yeah, specifically 214368, which accounts 8.25% only.billryan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 1:35 pmSo if you remove the push hands, you have roughly 20,000 winning hand out of almost 260,000. Just my opinion....Been playing video poker for about 30 years. Hit my first royal at an Indian Casino that was a progressive and paid over $11,000. That kinda hooked me. Nickels, quarters and dollars, fairly conservative. Have had times where I could hardly get a pair and on the other hand have probably hit 30 plus Royals. Being away from the casinos and playing on here has really shown me that I have probably saved a lot of gambling money the last few months. Just doing the contests, I can see how many times I wouldn't even get my money back. I love playing poker and don't think they (Vegas, anyway) need to illegally adjust the machines, the odds are with them. I am happy that I have discovered that I am not "addicted" to my casinos....have no desire to be there during the virus.
