SMR, i welcome the opportunity to have a civil debate. let's start with where i agree with you. trump is childish, self centered, self aggrandizing and certainly not my idea of the perfect conservative candidate. he has been a salesman his whole life, nothing has changed. ok, we agree.

-were you happy with the direction of the country under obama. did you want 4 more years under hillary?
-why is demanding that NATO european countries pay their agreed upon amounts a problem? the USA was protecting them and countries like germany have been taking advantage of us. i applaud him for this.
-do you believe that border laws should be enforced? should anyone and everyone be allowed in and are YOU willing to pay for their care? his policies and help from mexico have cut illegal entries in half.
-the policies from the so called experts on the chinese virus have changed often, and this includes the wearing of masks. the only consistent policy has been social distancing and i have never heard trump disagree with this.
-it is very easy for the medical experts, government paid workers (including teachers) and others who will continue to get paid, to simply say, 'shut everything down'. but, what about all those who do not get guaranteed checks? these are tough decisions.
-the media has been non stop critical of everything he has done or not done. all the while, largely overlooking that he shut down travel between the usa and china (biden called him a racist for doing so) and cuomo's disastrous policy for nursing homes. he is the left's new hero, for killing thousands.
-and, what about the endless investigations of trump. mueller's probe said NO ONE, including anyone on the trump team, knowingly colluded with the russians. did you forget?

let me ask you this, in your household, are you and you wife getting paid just as you were before the virus? and, why do i never hear the trump haters ever bash china, for giving the world this pandemic?

by all means, let's follow the examples of NY, NJ and CONN in dealing with the chinese virus.

NY, NJ, CONN-total combined populations 32 million-more than 53,000 deaths
FL,TX, AZ, GA-total combined populations 67 million-more than 17,000 deaths

so, the much touted liberal run states with 1/2 the population, have 3 times the number of deaths. only a liberal would think like this. like the rest of your advice....dud.

in the meantime, those liberal states are in financial calamity, populations decreasing and are hoping biden wins, so biden can force the rest of us to bail them out.

How can you listen to the virus experts when they don't know. This is a new virus. if this virus has been around. they probably would have a vaccine or know how to treat it.
So no matter who is in the White House. Whether it is Trump, Obama, Bush, Clinton. they can only be advised.
I work for a pharmaceutical company that deals with clinical trials. What company has a clinical trial. We put the kit/ package together according to there specifications and send them back to them.
We presently doing a several job right know. Thursday I was working on a job. Friday when i went to work they drop the study for that drug I was working on. The reason they told us they didn't like the result they were getting from that study. I don't know what the name of the drug was because it was identify by a serial number and pharmaceutical company knows what it is.
There are several Pharmaceutical company that are in a hurry to combat this virus.
Keep praying that they come up with something soon.
Stay healthy everyone.
Why is it almost every other country in the world has gotten this under control but the USofA?
When the country was shut down, the CDC gave guidelines for how to reopen. Georgia, Texas, Arizona and Florida ignored them and opened too soon. Trump started tweeting nonsense about liberating states and pushed others to open. NY, NJ and Conn. stayed the course and the rest is history.
Almost every other country in the world? Just because on the Federal level someone may it's o.k. for a state to reopen, this choice is up to the Governors of each state. I was in a gas station last week located in a county in Illinois that Interstate 80 runs through. I was getting a cup of coffee and I asked the clerk behind the counter why so many people in there were not wearing masks and her answer was: "we don't enforce the wearing of masks in here because so many people come in here from out of state." I looked right at her and responded: "THEY are the ones who SHOULD be wearing masks." Needless to say; that county in Illinois is showing a spike in cases.

Now look at the deaths after April 30th, when states reopened.
Are you incapable of having an honest discussion?

Yes, I am. So are we going to compare how the country has trended since it reopened or do you wish to avoid the subject?

As you admitted to being incapable of having an honest discussion I do not see the need to continue a dialogue with you.

Kool. So ignore me. I'll get over it somehow, although I will be shocked if you are capable of following through on that. Have a nice day and a nicer life.

What is fit to be ignored is your twisted view of the subject.
Whether you choose to remember it or not,Trump started out the reopening discussion as if it were his decision to make. The blue governors and the biased media raised a fit about states rights (a concept they only use when it fits their template) and insisted the decision would be theirs. Some made good sound decisions and some did not.
Fast forward to today. The success stories find governors basking in the glory.
The re-surge states find red and blue governors able to deflect blame back to Trump' without a shred of truth or logic getting in the way' thanks to their co-perp's the media and various cool-aid drinkers.

No response solicited, expected,or acknowledged. I do not brook fools!

I don't see anyone basking in glory, nor should they. This has been horribly managed by governments, state and federal. However, we only have one executive in chief and he couldn't have screwed up worse if he tried.
Things will only get worse this fall. The WHO is the organization that tests and decides what goes into each year flu shots.
Another thousand Americans died yesterday, but lets talk about whomever got shot in Chi-Town.
