I don't expect to see the inside of a casino anytime soon. What I do miss is going to concerts and shows but I'm in rush to go back to any.
We used to go to 5-10 concerts a year compliments of various CZR properties. Throughout this pandemic we have started watching AXSTV channel 340 on our directtv. Great channel loaded with all types of concerts , interviews, and special documentaries and countdowns on all genres of music. Before this pandemic we never watched this channel.

AC looked much like summer Sundays of recent vintage, fwiw. Forced to hit the less traveled marina for better machine availability, which was inconvenient but paid off handsomely. NE containment has in large part been excellent, so let’s be fair.

While living in Vegas, I joined a program called House Seats, and often attended five shows in a week.

I was at Borgata last Friday. Maybe one quarter of the people that are usually there on a summer Friday. Do not buy casino stocks.

BR, wonder how long it will be before Fat Elvis starts up in Vegas again? We saw him at Barbary Coast or Bills whatever it used to be called before it became Cromwell. We also saw him a couple times after he moved to Harrah's. We were supposed to see Shania Twain later this month before they shut all the entertainment down. Is there any live entertainment going on in Vegas right now?

Now that's the kind of input I'm looking for, along with CARCOUNTER's post on Borgota being at 25% capacity, thanks.

faa's point about the virus being better managed and contained in the northeast is certainly true, as New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont , Maine and new Hampshire have maintained a relatively flat curve since April's end (compared to other regions) after the initial infection spike petered out in NYC and elsewhere. Only Rhode Island is currently unstable, and sadly there are a couple nice casinos near providence which are suffering. In upstate N.Y. there are a few casinos; there are the two huge ones in Connecticut; and Massachusetts has a huge casino in Boston with Wynn 's name on it, and a smaller one somewhere west of Boston owned by MGM. And of course, Atlantic City is in a class by itself with its boardwalk.
The vindication of managing the pandemic properly by so called northeastern liberals no doubt burns inside certain people, and in a fair, just world the business and casinos in the northeast should reap some rewards, but once the autumn and winter cold and flu season hits coupled with covid19, forget it....it won't be enough. And if the stubborn stupid people who refuse to accept that covid19 doesn't care what politics you follow, continue to scoff at avoiding large groups and wearing a mouth covering, this winter will be a nightmare, and not just for casinos.

i guess if i had been the governor of NY and/or NJ, where there are nearly 30% of all the deaths in the whole country, i might have locked down also.

48,000 dead souls and possible murder convictions for the elderly, will do that to someone.

New Jersey= The most densely populated state in country

NYC = The most densely populated city

Can you specify your actual criticism of what they did, and what they should've done that would have earned your praise instead? Because back in April you claimed the reason NYC was suffering was due to it being a "liberal" city (Giuliani 's reign, and George Pataki notwithstanding)

now your defense is density? you will try anything. speaking of NYS and NJ, they are the two states with the greatest number of people leaving for other destinations. that is NYS and NJ residents speaking with their feet and wallet...get me out of here!

covid deaths;
NYS-#4 most populated- 168 deaths per 100k residents
NJ-#11 most populated- 179 deaths per 100k residents

TX-#2 most populated-32 deaths per 100k residents
FL-#3 most populated-38 deaths per 100k residents

guiliani left office in 1999, all it took was 6 years of de blasio to take nyc into a crime infested, shooting/murder sewer. liberal dem, what else.
