Yep! Just like that 4 th Ace you needed is dealt as the first card on the next hand. Those are the kind of things we tend to remember and forget the rest.

True. The other night, I was dealt 4 to the royal once and had 4 to the royal show up on a redraw 5 other times. All during my less than two hour stint. Mind you, I play very slowly. Holding three cards to a sf (Following BD's strategy chart) more often than not, one of the needed cards shows up after the redraw with an outlier. I'd pull out my hair if I had any. :)

  Me too Shaving in the morning takes longer than my haircuts. By hair I mean singular. By the way, just to finish up What happened in my session last night, after I got the wild royal flush on double down stud and was up two hundred, things went downhill fast. I went back to 98.91 deuces wild on quarters just flat betting Five at a time and in one hour the 200 bucks was gone. I should have packed it in, but after breakfast this morning I decided to try the same deuces wild game again. Another 200 bucks for the house. Could’ve been worse at least I didn’t go wild betting five or 10 bucks a hand. I really can’t complain though. I had the really nice upper room with a beautiful Riverview for three nights even though I only used two of them skipping the second night. All of the meals in the lounge were very good and I tried to watch it on the desserts and so forth. I weakened just before my ride home late in the afternoon today and had my first Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia hot fudge sundae for 2020. The Mrs. wasn’t there last night but she also had a good time the other night she stayed over. Now I come back to the honey do list. Our room air conditioner just crapped out and I had to run around like a nut to find another one because it’s the end of the season. I have to put it in tomorrow among other things like cut the lawn and so forth Anyway, glad I’m still able to do these things.

End of season? We are back to the 110s next week. Out here, hopefully it will start really cooling down about mid-October.

We are hot here too, but only upper 80’s and high humidity. I asked the guy in Home Depot where the window air conditioner’s were and he said.....Are you kidding we stopped carrying them in June. We’ve already got Halloween stuff that we are putting out. Needless to say, I was not amused but didn’t take it out on him. He is just a salesman. Wouldn’t surprise me if next week they start putting out snowblowers !!!!!

Seas can be REALLY rough when that good time to quit was an hour ago.
Seriously, for the league that BD played in,with paytables, points, cash back and other comps giving a
2%+ advantage as a "starting strategy",ending strategy would only come into play the morning you didn't wake up. Or when the "Starting Strategy" no longer exists.
You are overestimating the conditions I play with.

There were regularly good games with a 1% advantage 20+ years ago. Today, I play mostly with about a quarter percent advantage. When i find better games (for decent stakes) I play them, of course. But they don't often exist that I know about.

Wow, that is a really thin margin. To make a really nice days pay out of that long term, one would have to play a 5,000 hand session ( about average for me ), play a 10 buck game at 50 bucks a hand, play perfectly of course, and your long term net before taxes would be 625 bucks a day. Playing 3 days a week would yield a gross pay of 1,875 dollars. Nothing to sneeze at, but not enough after taxes and expenses to live on without being pretty careful with the budget. I can see why somebody would find other things to do at the same time. I can see why with a margin that small, one would be ready to pounce on any over generous promotions as well. .

Made a quick up and back trip last night to Mohegan Sun. Just went for dinner and to play a couple of hours. No comp room offer so their loss our gain. When they do that and cut back on room offers, we both are more likely to get a bit ahead and quit rather than give it all back. That is exactly what we did last night. The Mrs hit Aces on nickel DDB and made 100 and quit. I played Joker Kings quarters with the clone method and hit 4 straight flushes in 2 hours and numerous quads. Plus 200 for me. One pic attached. Whatever happened to the get em there keep em there philosophy?

PS. I will say that when I saw no comp room available on their website, I called and got the host on duty who I knew just slightly. They wanted 200 for a room on a Sunday night. She lowered it to 109. With fees, it still would have been approaching 200 so I said no. She was nice enough though to put a 75 buck dinner comp in my account good for two weeks.
