Read the news. #1 factor in voters minds, THE ECONOMY.
People who are financial failures all their lives,in your case from poor business skills, and for others from relying on the "dole",probably have different viewpoints.

Republicans seem to think the economy is the stock market.
Republicans tend to say their number one concern is the economy, but they only represent about 30% of the vote.
The last time we had a Presidential election amidst an economic downturn, the voters went Democratic.
With the exception of 1980, voters have supported Democrats in elections that depend on the economy.

More junior high school putdowns.
Which polls are you citing when you say the #1 thing was the economy? I thought people were going to vote for trump because he would protect them from all the bad things that are happening under his administration.

The stock market is one solitary factor and index of many that make up the total economy and it is typical of shallow uninformed people to attach far too much emphasis to it. Trump and his supporters are shallow uninformed people.

History says that will be how people vote. Have posted the facts before. Especially when it comes to the S & P 500. Could be a false sense of security, but that’s what people do. I would say that 20 out of 23 elections is a pretty good track record. RR defeating Jimmy Carter was one of the exceptions. I don’t expect anyone who posts here to vote that way just because of the S & P , but the average voter, who unfortunately is much less informed about things and doesn’t know a thing about our history in general probably will.

I think it's cute that you think the average voter is less informed than folks here.
So what you are saying is people here are going to vote the way they will, regardless of the stock market, but the uninformed average voter is going to vote one way if the market goes up, and another if it goes down?

Companies barely market consumer goods to anybody over thirty because they have long made up their minds on brands. Same deal here. No disrespect to NYSE, S&P and Nasdaq.
