A couple of good ones!

This subject of machines keeps popping up.
We kicked it around a while back and got labeled conspiracy theorists.
Anyone know of any other sites with any discussion like this going on,past or present?

I don’t go on other poker sites, but I am sure there is some discsuuion. I did say that I think the end results I believe to be the same, it is IMO the length of the cycles that bothers me on the new machines. For instance, I can play a machine 8 hours if I have to with a couple of b room breaks, but I can’t do it for 16 hours until I catch that brief warm or hot stretch. Purists are still going to say that is crazy thinking, but I go by reality, not necessarily what is in the textbook formulas. I even find differences in wolf vp and here on this site in the way programs behave. When I have time, I may search a few key words on this subject, just to see what other discussion is out there. The most recent example, is above. I had gone 2 average sessions without quad deuces. Of course no Royals so both were losers. In my third session above, my bets were upped as I figured and I know its crazy, but I would probably hit deuces on the next trip. After giving up on DDS, I went back to draw poker to preserve capital. Of course, that is when the dealt ones hit. Had I hit the dealt ones with the same amount bet on DDS, it would have paid 6,400 bucks. I hit the smaller one in the pic above first. I did some quick math in my head and figured the quad deuces were coming in average 8,000 hand cycles way too infrequent. Also it had been 90,000 hands in round numbers since dealt ones. Also way low. Sure enough, both hits close together brought the averages back where they should be. Of course, the experts will say my thinking is based on meaningless short term results. That’s fine. They are actually correct. I play based on what works for me.

Premium hands behind schedule mean a ton of pain. I should have casino hopped yesterday to get the hell away from the two remaining full pay machines that I played for a +$100 session in two hours. They just weren't going to produce. That was all the juice I was going to get from those lemons. Instead, a second session post lunch meant disaster. How can anyone in compos mentis can endure a staggering eight hours? It's usually a hell of a tab for a day's entertainment.

Somehow, I just never get tired of playing. The terrifying part is when you are getting low on bankroll and know you shouldn’t be hitting the atm. Also when you are way behind and have to stop playing due to a commitment. That is when one tends to play stupidly and clear thinking goes awry.

Frustration with what you know should be the normal hits/play creates a stress but my biggest issue is mental or physical fatigue. I'm really having to work on just stopping when my mental fatigue hits or the physical fatigue begins to impact my concentration.

If someone will watch your machine, a brief walk, pit stop, fresh air, or an hour long lunch or coffee break will do wonders. Easier said than done though

I don't so much tire of playing. I simply exhaust the funds to do so.

Me too especially lately with the wild swings and the dreaded ATM is a no no with the occasional slip up to use it.

I can relate to both of your comments. Thankfully, I no longer consider hitting an ATM though several times I have let my self-discipline go by the wayside and played a few extra dollars than planned.
