Re: MAGA Terrorist Attack on Capitol
does defending our country against enemies, include those who wish to have a 'socialist' form of government?
does that include 'peaceful' protesters who claim control of government property, like autonomous zones?
does that include looters who steal what is not theirs, but is justified by some as their entitlement?
does that include those who encourage and facilitate the illegal entry into this country by those who are not legal citizens, even though it is against the law?
does that include politicians who try to sell our country out to a foreign power(china), while enriching themselves and their family/friends?

Another words are you a racist? That's what you come across as anyway. A large slice of the MAGA movement are racists. Racism has existed in our country since before the Civil War. After Lincoln issued the emancipation proclamation and we entered the era of reconstruction . Slaves soon had their freedom and their right to vote thanks to the 15th amendment in 1870. It seemed like a good thing until they began to thrive and compete with established white businesses and workers. Soon the kkk and other clans were formed. Former slaves and their families were singled out, intimidated, bullied, and in many cases murdered by gangs of thugs not unlike those that assaulted our Capitol last Wednesday.notes1 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 9:44 amdoes defending our country against enemies, include those who wish to have a 'socialist' form of government?

So what we have today in the MAGA movement is a resurgence of hate and vitriol that never really went away. In our lifetime we have seen it in the actions of Joseph McCarthy, George Wallace, David Dukes, and others. This nonsense had for the most part been thankfully set aside until the soon to be deposed king wannabe fanned the flames of insurrection and anarchy during the past four years. Which brings us to today. The Proud Boys, white nationalists, and other far right neo nazi groups have thrived and have become emboldened under trump. He says he loves them and that they are special to him. How is that supposed to diffuse the situation that just took are democracy to the brink?
It is clear that trump incited this cowardly act that just occurred at the Capitol building. But there are others that enabled it and should be held accountable as well. Josh Hawley, TedCruz, Lin Wood, Mo Brooks, Jim Jordan, Rupert Murdock, trump jr, Rudy Giuliani to name a few. The only way to kill the snake is to cut off its head. It would be impossible to go after everyone in on this terrorist act. If we can purge ourselves of those most responsible for this insurrection and the belief in trump's latest big lie it would be a good place to start and work back towards working together and changing things for the better.

so much for your 'new years resolution'.
so, pullout the race card, you hypocrite. just because i believe in borders, don't believe in allowing looting to go unpunished, i dispute the term 'peaceful 'protesters' who took and destroyed public and private property, don't believe in socialism and would like to see a tenth of the effort to investigate biden and his family ties to china. that makes someone a racist?
i will remind all, that crossing the usa border illegally, looting, destruction of public/private property and taking money from foreign countries illegally, are ALL against the law. that makes you a criminal.
if one is going to call out conservatives for doing something illegal, then one should be consistent and treat liberals the same. and, that includes the media and big tech.
hypocrites, all of you.

No one is calling out conservatives for anything. We are calling out the assholes who broke into our Capitol, assaulted the police, and tried to take members of Congress hostage.
If you choose to lump these insurrectionists in with all conservatives, it is just further evidence of your ignorance.
trump is not now, and has never been, a conservative. He is an opportunist who aspired to fascism.
There are plenty of decent conservatives. By your words, you continue to show you aren't one of them.

So are you okay with what happened last Wednesday? I may have missed it but I do not recall you expressing your opinion directly regarding the trump led MAGA terroist attack on our Capitol.notes1 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 11:53 amso much for your 'new years resolution'.

then you are not only filled with hatred and a hypocrite, but you lack reading comprehension skills.
the 6th post on this very thread, i stated, 'i do not condone the actions that took place in DC yesterday'. i await your apology.
should i go back and check after each illegal action of 'peaceful' protesters, and see if you offered the same admonishment to those dems/liberals/trump haters who were guilty of breaking the law.

Until you go further than saying you don't agree and condone what happened at the Capitol you get no apology from me. Why not go ahead and call out trump, trump jr., ted cruz, josh hawley, lin wood, mo brooks, fox news and the others that were in on the big lie that incited all this. Do you really believe that trump won by a landslide and it was stolen from him?notes1 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 12:26 pmthen you are not only filled with hatred and a hypocrite, but you lack reading comprehension skills.

Before you posted YOUR smug response, can you please tell me where in SMR's post did it mention that the second officer's death was so far - unrelated to the event that occurred on Capital Hill? SMR DOES mention that a 2nd officer had died but did not continue through and state that the 2nd death was so far - unrelated to the event that occurred on Capital Hill.rockinrobin wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 6:15 pmIf you would have read SMR's post right above your post before you posted this smug response, you would have seen that they corrected their comment on the officer's death a full 3 hours before you felt the need to comment.Tedlark wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 3:46 pmTo those two individuals who posted here about the death of a second U.S. Capital Police Officer: yes; a second U.S. Capital Police Officer has died this week.
However: U.S. Capitol Police did not link Officer Howard Liebengood’s death while off duty to Wednesday’s deadly insurrection on Capitol Hill. This is directly from a report posted on the web site: "The Guardians of Democracy."
If you are going to post here, just be accurate, fair, and correct. And fair means also reporting on the Air Force veteran who was shot by a U.S. Capital Policeman during last Wednesday's ugliness. I have yet to see anything posted on that or the others who died.
As far as the others who died, they died while committing federal crimes after being incited by the POTUS. 2 of their families have commented in the news that they blame him. The officer died a hero, the others, not so much.
Keep on rockin in the free world.....
