BR, you will be hapyp to know the Whitehouse finally lowered the flag some time earlier today. Four days too late or 4 years too late depending how you look at things. Also, just found out the second DC police officer that died, died of suicide. Can't imagine what his family is going through right now.

On an unrelated note, PGA has banned trump. They will be cancelling all tournaments and instituting a lifetime ban of ever hosting events at any of trump's Golf Courses including stripping trump of hosting the 2022 PGA Championship insiders say.

Thank you rockinrobin for being a peace maker. Tedlark, if I did anything to offend you I apologize as well. Life is too short to harbor ill feeling towards others. When I posted about the death of the second DC police officer, the source I got it from made it sound like somehow his suicide was directly related to the tragic event that has us all on edge right now.

Also, just read that Bill Bilicheck, head coach of the New England Patriots just declined to accept the Medal of Freedom from trump. He said although he was flattered, because of last weeks tragic event he did not think it was appropriate to move forward with it. I have never been a big fan of Bilicheck but his decision to shun trump takes courage and I respect him for it. Cruz, Hawley, McCarthy and other trump sycophants could learn a thing or two about courage from Bilicheck.

i don't approve of the actions that took place in DC yesterday. i understand the reasons behind those actions. i understand it, but do not condone it. i will await the law enforcement reports on the background of those responsible. i am stating my position within 24 hours of the event actually taking place.

i stated my disapproval of DC events, within one day of event taking place.

would be nice if liberals/dems/trump haters did the same, when their team causes havoc, crime or someone dies.

To all of those that keep covering and making excuses for trump shame on you. Cruz, Hawley, Lin Wood, and all the other enablers. The more that comes out and the more video that comes available this MAGA insurrection just gets worse and worse.

Weaklings like Rubio offer platitudes mildly saying they disapprove of the tragic event but will not grow a pair and get mad as hell at all the people that need to be held accountable and face the consequences for what they have done. Attacks on all 50 state Capitols are being planned. Even if they don't go through with threats on inauguration day this resurgence of lawlessness appears to be far from over.

What about trump's promise for a smooth transition? Another big fat lie. At a time when the economy is faltering, nearly 400,000 people have died during the past year due to Covid, trump is doing every thing possible to make Biden's job as difficult as possible. Putting his own personal feeling ahead of his duty to protect our country and keep us all safe from crap like what happened last Wednesday.

This country is in flames because of trump. The big lie he keep whining about. He won by a landslide and the election was stolen from him. How many of those trump lovers parading unlawfully through our nations Capitol actually believe this? They were a group who just needed an excuse to try to ignite civil unrest. They liked it as much as trump liked it. That is what is so upsetting to me. The ones that he loves and that are so special to him. The ones that are just as vile and selfish as he is.

Trump and his stooges enabled this. Whatever punishment trump ends up getting for his role in this, we need to make sure that he or someone like him never has a chance to become president of the United States again.

I am not a fan of the man/Trump, but support much of what he has done during his four years. That said, this is what I don’t get. Trump uses words for effect. They should not be taken literally. Each person is responsible for their own actions. Just like a gun doesn’t pick itself up and fire, those that trashed the governnent buildings and caused harm are totally responsible on their own. The only thing I can attribute it to is low intellect and a weakness of character as well as something being wrong with their Conscience and sense of right and wrong. The same goes for the rioters that trashed the cities,burned,looted, and maimed. I don’t care what their cause is on both sides. These people are the dregs of society. Maybe like I posted months ago, half the country should be in prison and isolated from society. I am not making any excuses for any of Trump’s behavior, lack of common sense when it comes to the science of the virus, or the way he treats many people. However, when people are too stupid or gutless on either side to take such actions that cause harm and destruction, they deserve swift and harsh punishment for what they did. My Conservative views will not change nor will the other half of the Country change their liberal or progressive views. I am afraid to think of what is coming with this new administration. I also feel that Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and others will sense a profound weakness now in the US and who knows what those consequences will be.
