After the Deuces hit, I took a break and budgeted 100 bucks to try the Clone on quarter 9/6 job. It worked just as I had hoped, though I almost lost the hundred before some full houses started to hit followed by 2 quads just 4 hands apart. I was following my rule of 4 which is what I use on job. It lost about 16 straight hands with just a couple of pushes then stuff started hitting. End result was a very nice positive session that offset my budget buster from the other day. One more 500 plus negative session after that bust one to try and recover from next trip.

You had such a lucky session. I guess that after a $1,000 hit that you can budget $100 on quarter JOB, keeping the rest under wraps. I could have had a twenty buck try after my $200 hit last trip, if I wasn't so busy celebrating. The quads just four hands apart was splendid. I just don't expect a damn thing to happen after a quad and usually leave. Look at that sixteen hand drought you experienced in your session. No way I'm risking a repeat. Of course two weeks ago, the other machines were taken and there was nowhere to go. I stayed and prayed; hit a RF twenty minutes later.

Been there and done that. My 750 Royal redeal in December and your recent one are recent examples. Both of us would have been better off on the quarter game with 12 quarters bet. My only excuse was the quarter game had already beat me up including multiple losing hands at bet 25 quarters. It is crazy, but when I switch denominations within the same machine and start over at bet one dollar, the machine starts hitting immediately. I cannot explain it and the folks who swear the RNG is 100 percent random would tell me it is just coincidence or that it is just random. However, when I see the pattern repeat over and over again, I tend to doubt what I already know that the RNG is really totally random. In my case in December, as soon as I switched to dollars on the same machine, it started hitting small stuff at bet one. Then it went into a back and forth pattern trending down. That is how I ended up at the bet 3 level and the 750 Royal hit. The last few trips I found a machine hitting at bet one dollar, I said to myself.....this is crazy. I should be betting 5 quarters. So I switch back and the machine promptly goes into a horrible dud cycle devowering remaining bankroll at the quarter level. Ok I will admit that’s crazy and just coincidence. My pocket nearing empty told me so as well and so the mystery surrounding this continues. My goal is to never short coin a machine and most times I don’t, but after a machine with my clone method has taken me up to bet 25 quarters and still lost 5,5,7,8 or more hands, I count my remaining bust limit budget and find maybe 100 or 2 hundred left of a 1,000 bankroll. At that point, I make the incorrect decision to switch to dollars with bet one. In hindsight, I should either pack it in or go back to betting 5 quarters and forget where I just was at bet 25. Thank goodness this is the exception and not the rule and so far 2021 has worket out well. As I wrote back to Bob D, it is early in the year yet. We will see where I end up at year end. If I do end up on the plus side, it will be the first time in 25 years of playing vp. Finally, I am still for now ably to play at the 100 percent EV or better level as long as the free play holds where it is now.

I cannot even scale up and down at my Caesars or Harrah’s: either fixed quarter or $1/$2. The only fully denominational machines are at Bally’s, where I hate playing. I guess that I can bring a bigger BR, bomb at dollar level, then hopefully have a huge hit at $6-$10 bets at an adjacent machine. I learned that Caesars quarter are unplayable on Sunday. Bust Bank. Just avoid it and take my chances on dollar, which actually gives players slack.

This is so hard to believe. Still sinking in. I did ok playing last night the usual way and was ahead about 500 bucks on 9/6 job. I decided to switch to Deuces wild about 5 this morning and got into a very bad cycle with the Martingale Clone. I had to go from quarters to halves, then dollars. Back and forth with the trend way down. Stupidly, in hindsight I lost all of my 500 prifit for a long 8 hour session and had given back 400 bucks of my 1,000 bankroll. Total discipline failure, but I kept getting dealt 3 to a Royal as I was losing and not connecting. This one connected. Needless to say, I quit then. Just stupid blind luck. Even though this hit is phenomenal, I must learn to get back to hit and run basics and never give back a 500 profit again. Needless to say, I’m a happy camper, but still mad at myself.
