Our Capitol is on lockdown with reports of one or more active shooters, according to the DC Fire Department.

Reports are that a guy rammed officers and jumped out of his car with a knife and they shot him. No active shooter.

Sounds like security worked out at current levels in this case.

The barriers have already been removed if I'm not mistaken.

A week ago, that street would have been closed to traffic, nipping the incident in the bud.
The suspect is said to have expired.

Now it is being reported one of the Officers has died from his injuries.
I'm not sure I would say the security measures worked.
