I am soliciting restaurant requests. I can always use added incentive to escape the casinos before returning my winnings and worse. Cuisine, specific establishments, etc.

If you can get down on a Friday, the lunch special at Knife and Fork is absolutely the best deal. For $ 17.50 you get a full dinner size meal with an appetizer, entree and desert. Happy Hour at Docks Oyster House and Chart House at the Nugget not far behind.

Detroit style pizza is thick-crust (rectangular), so I expect it will fill me up unless it's really small or I'm really large.

Speaking of burgers, maybe I can muster up a vote on which to have.

If I'm paying, I'll have the entry-level Classic, double.

But if I'm allowed anything on the page, I would go for the fancy cheese pizza (margherita). Eat half in the restaurant, then the other half in the car on the drive back to Nevada.

When Little Ceasars tried to break into the NY market, their main pizza was an oversized rectangle that had 24 small square slices. It didn't go over too big and the two locations both closed rather quickly. Fifteen years later, they returned and their rectangle pizza is only offered as part of a lunch special.

Ah, the Detroit style. I was wondering if it was worth the premium, but now I at least see price point imposed.

I hit the beloved Wingcraft gastropub today to celebrate my premium quad hit with a premium burger. The short rib double burger has melted American, arugula, tomato, onion (raw and caramelized) and comes with chips. Three bucks for fries “upgrade”. It is tall and moist, with a thin layer of brisket over the patties. No gristle or char. I was barely aware that it was a burger, as it was so effortlessly consumed. Wingcraft was judged the #1 South Jersey burger by AC Weekly. The Pat LaFrieda blend doesn’t lend itself to copycats. I enjoyed it and would try them all. The chips had no zip. It was a generous portion of sorry spuds, cardboard potatoes as dry as pita chips. These terrible taters are certainly not worth the calories. The beer list is astounding. I already indulged with Amstel at Caesars, saving the calories and expense. Seating is tricky on weekends, as 100% seating comes soon. I gave my number and waited ten minutes on the nearby USMC themed Tun Tavern patio. Sorry, semper fi. $20 plus tip is a hefty burger tab. Only premium hits justify the price and walk up to Baltic Avenue. I’m not Mr. Monopoly.

I like this thread. From your prior menu, I would try the Philly Steak, but what you chose sounds great. It has to be perfectly cooked to be good. I guess it was. Firing up the grill Tomorrow eve for some boneless barbecue pork ribs. Probably classic pork n beans with added pearl onions with it. French cut green beans for the veggie. A nice one ounce square of dark chocolate and coffee after. Dark chocolate helps build up the blood vessels. It’s the flavonoids that do it. Also helps raise HDL. And increases blood flow. Try and get 72 (same as my age ) percent Coco. I might just have to take a trip down there even if I don’t play.

AC is 250 miles from Uncasville, as the crow flies. Longer as the Olds drives. That’s two Philly cheesesteak votes. Online quotes all two bucks lower than actual price. I’d go to the nearby White House Subs for a much larger and cheaper product. So maybe that’s next. Wingcraft did leave me hungry. I forgot how liberating it is to escape the casino and its thousands of bandits and actually experience the city.
