Thought I would start a thread similar to a RNG and see where it takes us. I don’t mind jumping around on subject matter at all. Just trying to get something going here before we all fall asleep.
I could tell you what is currently on my mind. The partial disclosure of UFOs and Aliens and more coming by the government on 6/1. Also those poor people in India overwhelmed by Covid and the provable mutant Covid varients creating themselves now and probably on their way to the US if not here already.

Got my new mattress today. It came in an Amazon truck, the first I've seen. It was a king size mattress, compressed down to fit in a box about five feet tall and maybe two feet wide. The driver said an inside delivery was $10 and for $20 they put it into whatever room it was going to.
It unrolled easy enough and the label says to let it sit for 24 hours before putting sheets on it.
I went with a semi-hard mattress, something I've never had before.

Have not been in a casino in 14 months. Don't just miss the gambling but miss the whole package of going away for a few days, eating out and staying in the hotel at the end of the day. Usually on the casinos dime as well.
My biggest problem is between the wife and myself we have 1,500 worth of comps with Caesars and 500 with Boyd. I would hate to lose this but both have extended our comps for now. We have had the first vaccination but our 2nd shot is not scheduled until August 3rd.
We usually spend just over 100 nights a year in hotels plus a couple months in Arizona during the winter so staying home for over a year is getting monotonous.
We have lots of plans as soon as we get the green light to travel.

Case,
“ We have had the first vaccination but our 2nd shot is not scheduled until August 3rd.”
I was curious as to why your 2nd dose is scheduled so far away, if you don’t mind my asking. Seems much further than the recommended wait time.

Same here! To be exact, we last set foot in a casino on Feb.24/20. I am starting to miss it all somewhat, more the lifestyle than the gambling, but I still do miss playing. What I don't miss is the 15 pounds I've lost due to eating a lot more home cooking versus lavish casino comped dinners.
We also have a substantial reward credit balance at Caesars. When my wife expressed our concern about losing them to our host at Harrahs Laughlin, he suggested that we acquire a Caesars Visa card. Putting a purchase on it qualifies as account activity, and consequently extends the rewards credit expiration date. I've put a couple of tanks of gas on it, and were are currently good til the end of October.
I am starting to get a bit concerned, though, about all the outstanding 7 Star "goodies" resulting from our 2019 play. Hopefully, travel restrictions will relax soon enough so that we can use them all.
We have a substantial comp balance at Seneca Niagara, too. I am not so worried about that, though, as they have assured us that it will be there for us once we can get back.

I think it was October 2019 that I was last in a casino. How time flies. I will finally be heading back to Vegas for a few days next month once I'm fully vaccinated, bringing a little more bankroll than usual to make up for lost time. I have 3 free nights, which I haven't seen offered in a long time. Good move on the part of the casino since I will probably play there this trip instead of hopping around to a bunch of casinos or going to my usual off-strip locations.

Robin I have never heard of a spread that long between the first and second shot. May I ask what state you live in? The science varies, but with a spread that long I would be concerned about the first shot protection lessening before you ever get the second. In Ct the first and second shot are scheduled 3 to 4 weeks apart.

BR....The Amazon trucks come and go on my street several times a day. Here they all appear to be identical dark blue vans with advertising. I can’t even imagine how many they must have bought. Just looked it up. They use Ford, Ram, and Benz vans. I think the ones here are Fords.

Hope everyone who wants to can shortly get back into their routines and enjoy the casino experience like I do. Like several of us, I book over 100 rooms a year, but I am currently keeping my stays shorter and avoiding the crowds and busiest times. I miss having the late breakfasts and staying into the following afternoons after the overnights. I/we tend to leave later now, just have a late dinner when we get there, either watch a quick TV show if the floor is busy, and then if not too busy, play overnight until 4,5,6, or even 7 in the morning. Then usually just coffee and before the ride home anter 4 or 5 hours of sleep. Lickily, the ride is just over an hour.

I an praying they don’t bring back indoor smoking. If they do, I’m done. Perfect way to spread these airborne varient viruses with exhaled smoke never mind the stench of it and disgusting behavior that goes with many of the smokers leaving piles of ashes, butts everywhere, and holding the cigarettes at eye level between two fingers so the smoke goes right into your eyes.
