The NY State AG yesterday confirmed that the state's investigation into trump and his organization is no longer just a civil one, but has spurred a separate criminal one as well.
That is in addition to the criminal case the Manhattan District Attorney is now engaging in.

Many of the legal experts in NY and Washington are expressing surprise it progressed to this with the NY AG. I guess we are lucky we have wiser men than them here.

They think they have something that will stick or they would not have added criminal charges. No doubt trump will attempt to feign ignorance of wrongdoing, throw trump org CFO, his kids, and anyone else besides himself under the bus. That is just what he does while he demands loyalty from others.
