True. It does require effort to learn and patience to sit at those damn uprights.

Time was not my friend yesterday. 1/4 of my recent 4700 Jackpot evaporated. I was pretty careful too for 8 hours following my own rules. Then lost it and switched to dollar play. Nothing hit above a 17 for one Joker kings quad or two and one 25 for one wild royal on deuces. The finale fiasco was trying 9/6 double double bonus with the last $400 of the budget. O quads hit so naturally I was destroyed. Why is it at so often after a good jackpot the next trip is a total disaster even with careful play? At least I made a trip to the animal shelter before the casino. The handler there can’t get over it. They have a pitbull that had a bad life and they can’t seem to do anything with it. He sees me and runs up to the fence with the tail going a mile a minute. Anyone else and he wants to take their arm off. Maybe animals can read people better than people can read people. Who knows. He probably sensed I felt good about being there and meant him no harm.

Last $400 would mean the exit. Don’t even think about squandering such a reserve, almost my whole BR. I am worried as well. It has been disastrous for me after big wins. But now I am dispensing my dollars much more efficiently. The mega session is usually a mega loss.

Because there are a LOT more losing hands than winners. Repeat- a LOT. And because....olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 7:44 pmWhy is it at so often after a good jackpot the next trip is a total disaster even with careful play?
you hit the buttons at the wrong time.

I actually have to wonder about that. So far, I haven’t come up with a reliable way to time it. I have one possible exception. In a long dud cycle, I find that letting the machine sit without play
For 5 to ten minutes, seems to make a difference. It shouldn’t but to me it does. Maybe hitting the draw and deal buttons at almost the exact same time interval seems to extend whatever pattern that is happening at the time. Or everything could be imagination and pure coincidence.

You make a lot of sense with your cogent nuggets. -60% BR should probably signal that it is just not going to be your day. If you have points and comps in the back of your mind, they are taking entirely too much space which should belong to dollars and sense. Yeah, the BR is there to be spent. But not good money after bad. Switch games or move. It's too bad of a cycle to rebound from. I could have stayed at my first machine on Saturday and gone broke. Thankfully, Bet One button was too busted to tolerate even for a degenerate gambler. Move and find your groove.

Why? We know from the outset that the fix is in. Just consult the pay out percentage. We know how many hands in JOB are straight up losers or pushes, and that's generally best game available. I do think that sitting at machine for ten minutes could just be enough to generate a new cycle. If we have the patience for it. It sure is easier to follow through with that idea during an overnight session!

There is no way to reliably time it. And assuming there was, it's impossible to implement the mechanics of hitting DEAL or DRAW. The RNG is much much much much much much too fast. A woodpecker pecking with its' beak or a hummingbird tapping the button with its' wings would also fail miserably. Better to be a three-toed sloth and lose less money!olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Mon Aug 16, 2021 1:58 pmI actually have to wonder about that. So far, I haven’t come up with a reliable way to time it. It's all pure happenstance. Coincidence. Some might say luck.
If you're going to wait ten minutes, may as well walk back and forth between two machines five minutes apart and get twice the RCs. Because we know that changing machines is the secret. Shhh!

You jest. But don’t knock it until you try it. It’s been redemptive for me. Cold cycles take forever to peter out, as Olds confirms. And I don’t have his time or BR.
