It was almost famine not feast last night. The quad deuces hit left me up close to 400. It hit as the budget was busting. I then tried a cold Bonus Deuces Wild dollar game ( nearly 99 percent ) but I couldn't turn it so I lost the 400. Crashed from 8 AM this morning to 1pm. One nice thing. This room had a real high power shower which I needed to tend to my somewhat aching back from too much of both sanding and sitting without exercise. The other hit replaced my busted bankroll and made the animals happy too. Assuming she wants to go tomorrow night, I still have the room. She will also be my bankroll Guardian and charges exorbitant interest rates if I tap the bankroll too hard or mention I want to hit the ATM. Just kidding of course, but a really good idea for her to be the banker.

That was my other puzzlement. I was going to ask if you had late check out. But looks like you have it for the week and just come and go at will baller style. My back is aching again. I get daily reminders to schedule an MRI. They'll reveal nada. My Resorts showers are basic. I do a long bath. Note: epsom salt. Many new tower rooms don't even have a bath. I must specify that at check in going forward. I pay $31, a cheap enough splurge. I may need a jackpot there to keep patronizing. Absurdly tight machines. Still cautiously trying to determine when the hell they do cough up a quad.

Good luck with all. I find that if you keep moving, less or no problems. With VP, that’s a tough call. At Mohegan, they have a max 3 consecutive day stay rule. That’s more than enough for me. Otherwise, nothing else gets done.

Resorts will probably allow five. But I only do an occasional day when I can. It's ironic that we both get comp rooms in the MS family. MS patrons seem to be generally disappointed with the property. Hey, great views, great restaurants, great sports book, great VP tables. No Amstel from waitresses. I'm learning the ins and outs of comp life. You're such a wily veteran. No point in looking a gift horse in the face. I will grab it if they offer it. Impossible to determine how many points are earned via play. They have such an opaque system. That needs to be entirely revamped before I loosen the purse strings.

I get no spendable points at Mohegan sun if I am playing 98 or 99% games. Only tier points. On the 97% and lower games it is just not worth cycling $500 through a machine to get one spendable point worth a dollar. I think it was The Director who said you need to check virtually every machine to see if there have been programming errors and the 99% machines here and there will pay you spendable points. I haven’t found one yet but I don’t really look for them. I have found no rhyme or reason to their offer for free rooms. I have to check the website every day and look at the calendar to see if a little green square appears on any given day that would indicate a comp room is available. They also have a mismatch on the website and often times if you call Vip services you will be able to get a comp room even though the website says one is not available. I haven’t had much luck dealing with various hosts in additional comps. They are all very nice but hesitant to give away much of anything to video poker players. Others seem to have a different experience and make out better with their host. I think my hitAnd miss and mostly miss luck with the host is the fact that sometimes I will play nickel machines. I think they are looking for players who consistently that five dollars a hand and more. Their entire comp system is insanely complicated and I won’t bother listing everything here but at the level I am at which is not the highest level anymore, every month I am at issued these things called choice credits that do expire every month but can be used for food and select locations, rooms, or shows. I don’t know why they don’t let you pick and choose which food outlets or menu items you would like but they don’t. Overall I don’t have any major complaints with them. The most important thing to me is the availability of machines I like to play and the cleanliness of the establishment which is first rate at Mohegan sun and the absence of indoor smoke which is probably the biggest plus of all. If I had it to do over again, I never would have set foot in a casino that allowed indoor smoking. If I go back to the 1980s in before I can even remember the chain-smoking guy next to me at work whose ashtray was always overflowing with cigarette butts and ashes. It is always in the back of my mind what ultimate price I may pay For those days. I also in the early days used to frequent the dog track and jai alai and in both places you could cut the smoke with a knife

Well, this clears a lot up for me. All I play is 99%. My ADT keeps the mailers coming. But I can't earn an actual point to save my life, and probably never will. They have nice promotional gifts after earning points, but the only takers will be the slot zombies! As far as smoke goes, you don't know for a fact that second hand smoke has adversely affected you. But after forty years exposure, it probably has to some extent. Caesars VP section can become one big ashtray, especially the progressive area on weekends. Borgata bar? It's a bar. They're smoking. They're chatting up a storm in a confined space. It's noisy as hell and we prefer quiet. On your preferred overnight marathons, almost nobody is around anyway so moot wherever in the country you play except maybe Vegas. The next time I am on the property, I will ask at the desk. "All I play is your best VP. Will I ever earn a point? I never do." It's worth it to vent.

Does the kiosk display a fractional tier point total, or does it only show zero? You could potentially need as much as $10,000 coin-in for one point, if vpfree2 is accurate. It's impossible to assess your progress if only whole numbers are displayed. You could try asking at the booth, but they usually don't know anything.

Do you ever hear any feedback from smokers? It's interesting that the major commercial jurisdictions are so dead-set against smoke-free impositions, and yet Mohegan did it voluntarily.

Kiosks show zero. Walked up to nearby desk; confirmed. IDK wth is going on. Now that you’ve got me thinking, I may just walk up to a player and ask about the point situation! I mean, I’m grasping at straws. Paper ones at that. If vpfree has it right, and they may, VP players are just up the creek no paddle. Take the free rooms and do bulk of play elsewhere.

That's ridiculous. Maybe there's an AC forum with some player info. I looked at TripAdvisor and didn't see anything. URcomped indicates $300 per tier point for slots. Also 470 for vp, which could be wrong. Vpfree2 says 1000 for ordinary vp and 10k for "better" vp.

If the vp rates are binary with only two settings, then you may actually want to play the best available vp game at the $1000 rate. This sounds a little like the Mohegan situation where best EV games are excluded from Momentum Dollars.

At Resorts, you can earn not only tier points, but also comp dollars and cashback dollars. And those rates are probably configured differently. Vpfree2 calculates comp dollar value at an anemic 0.01425% on the better games, and presumably 0.1425% on lesser pay games.
