Pretty close. I think she was out a hundred or so before the hits. Her last few trips were losers though. By now, everyone knows how this usually goes. Either feast or famine. The feast being short lived and no leftovers.

Hey, plus 500 might allow you next time to play a denom higher, or more hands, a riskier or lower ev game or stretch the clone and hang in until you strike it...you're due for a big one- I feel it. And I think FAA's handpay is imminent too.

Love the new tag-team format with jackpots included from the Sun Goddess. Is she a video poker specialist like you, or does she also play other games?

The Mrs just likes to play, but not as often as myself. We play different games. She likes DDB or DDB ultimate X. Nickel level. She rarely gets good paytables, but holds her own quite well. She doesn’t play the Clone the way I do, but does keep track of how the losses are going. If after several hours, she is down a certain amount and a quad hit will not get her even, she will up her bet a little hoping for a low number quad with a kicker or Aces so if one does hit, she will be at least even. Usually works well for her. Once in a while she will play a 20 on a DDS Bonus deuces wild game as I do and she may try one in the Stinking Rich slot as well. At year end though, neither of us are ahead. Maybe this year will be an exception. My discipline is getting better. I think I would be ahead every tear if I had that under control. The days of 18 percent CDs will never come back even with 12-20 percent inflation. We are at 12 now. That’s what they admit to. We are well on our way to 20. 😬. IMO. Somehow, the banks have figured out how to pay savers next to 0, continue to charge in the 20s on credit card debt and get away with it. The stock market also IMO is even a bigger crap shoot than vp also IMO especially for seniors. If I could to learn to walk away ip 10 percent on a 1,000 bankroll, I would be a winner on vp. The losing trips would be offset by the occasional Royal. Still working on that 10 percent rule. 😬😬😬

I don’t want to be a downer, but yes the market has done an average of 10 percent a year since 1926 and a whopping 27 percent last year, but history does not guarantee the future, especially if one may have only 10 years ir so to go. One last little note. Be wary when the government tells you how well things are going.

In olden days, a common allocation rule was "your age in bonds." A 40-year-old would have 40% bonds, for example.

Don't know if anyone still owns bonds, but rates have moved hard this year so I'm paying more attention now.

In the casino, I only choose positive situations so I try to play as robotically as possible. I figure if your methods can beat negative games, then the same methods would probably be harmful at positive games. :geek:

Just pulled into the Mohegan garage. Someone just left open a nice spot for me bu the entrance. Hope that is an omen. CPQWA….My new motto. Cautious play. Quit when ahead. Hope I can do better with that than my New Year’s Resolutions 😬

Nobody's perfect. Clayton Kershaw had a perfect game through seven in Minnesota. Manager pulled him for long term health. Baseball QWA. And CYA, in case the future hall of famer got injured.

Heading home. No play on Good Friday. Last night went ok. Sometimes good things come in tiny 3 cent packages. This was a Bonus Deuces Wild game. The only 3 cent one in the casino. Needless to say poor pay-table. But if you can hit and run fast……….,
