Probably 3 to the straight flush for both of them, since that is one of the better payouts in Jacks or Better, but I'm not sure. I haven't played it much so I haven't studied the strategy in detail.

1st hand: I played for the SF, software confirmed slightly better than K high straight by .03 Hand 2: I played hi pair, software again says to play for the SF over the hi pair by .30 Both hands , best play is for the straight flush. Hope this is helpful.

I was wrong on both of them. I thought I knew JOB back to the video poker school again! It does make sense to go for the straight flush.

I would venture a guess the 3SF hands are probably the most misplayed hands in all of VP. Don't feel too bad.

Thank You Shadowman for comment. I really want to learn video poker as well as I can so I can have a small chance at the casino. It is like the blackjack I play sometimes. I am constantly learning better ways to play it as well. The good news it seems I stay longer at the casino with some knowledge

thanks everyone. appreciate the feedback. i too am just learning. in the first hand the J Q K straight was more recognizable to me so i went for the straight figuring if i got a pair it would be a high pair
the 2nd i too as EDC went for the high pair.
got to keep on practicing.

Yup I'd go for the SF as well on both hands. Unless it was a progressive machaine with a very high progessive then I may hold singe faces.
Hey I've drawn 4 to a Royal before

SF3 should be one of the first things you look for in JOB. With that in mind it's not that hard. Pairs, 3K's, possible straights... those should all be second nature and not really worth a thought. Study the charts.
