Zero For 2022.
I have made 12+ trips to the casino this year. I play DDB progressive machine. I don't count hands but usually play for at least an hour each trip. So far, no winning trips and incredibly, no premium hands No quad 2s,3s,4s, or aces, in 2022. Non premium quads are sparse as well My goal for the rest of the year is one winning trip! Incidentally, I do much better on the video poker.com monthly.

Similar boat for me on 99 percent machines. Can’t explain. Hate to guess. Nothing since June

Inasmuch as misery loves company, that is a ton of woe. I regret not playing HL machines when observing a hand pay while passing by. I cannot countenance the abysmal pay tables. Yet these foolhardy devil may care players are getting paid.

OTA I am guessing at most 12,000 hands. Bummer no premium hands, but I think the sample is still pretty small. Hope both our luck changes for the rest of 2022.

OTA…I did a bit more research on my last couple of months play. Because I am playing mostly multi line play now, my weekly total of hands played has jumped from 15,000 to about 60,000. My last Royal that was a tiny one over a month ago means I have just gone about 250,000 hands without one.
The month before that was 5 weeks or about 300,000 hands between Royals.
The month before that about 180,000 hands between Royals. No wonder 2022 is setting up to be my biggest loss year Ever.
The month and additional 3 weeks before averaging about 40,000 hands a week was another 280,000 hands ( 7 weeks. These are mostly nickel or dime 96 percent n machines. Take away the extra for no Royals and you can see the massive effect on bankroll. My last hand pay was 6/22.
I do play a considerable amount of Wolf vp for fun. I never get results like these. There are virtually no regular vp players I used to see almost every session at Mohegan Sun. I am not saying something is fishy, just reporting my own results and observations.
The reason I switched to the above kind of play is my results on quarters and dollars were even worse.

I don’t miss VP all that much. Between the commuting and the inevitable session loss, it’s just more trouble than it’s worth.

Bill, maybe try other games when DDB not working. I play anything and everything. I don't care about pay table much since I am not playing very many hands on them, many times I find a hit.

From your lips to the VP god's ears. Actually, the irony is that in July, I had plenty of premium hands playing the monthly here at VP.com. Came in 2nd, so maybe technically I am not Zero for 2022. Should be Zero for 2022 in casinos.
I have not played that much so, as you pointed out, a small sample so hopefully, one of these days this year, I will leave the casino with more cash in my pocket

I play DDB, single line quarters 99+ percent of the time. I occasionally will switch to TDB and SDDBB. Two reasons why I don't try other VP variants. The only game I know proper play is DDB. Secondly, I go for entertainment and DDB is the only game I enjoy. I must blame my late wife who started me on VP and DDB was the only game she would play.
Thanks for the suggestion, however. I may try learning something like deuces.

Went 1-15 or so in 2021. 0-3 this year. No royals, no AWAK. If you don't get the hands high volatility kills, even with advantage. Dollar days are numbered for me.
