Re: RNG Redux
Maybe. Have to solve the stubborn streak and try that. The Mrs notices the same thing. Even last session. She does much better on machines with lower paytables. Crazy. I am too stubborn to play them. She is Ahead for the year on 7/5 DDB ultimate X Hard to believe.

Still stone-walled every where I look for RNG integrity info. No techs will speak up, no wizards showing up to comment. Even BD is mute. It is the only unknown factor in our game but nobody knows?

7/5 DDB is a horrific 96.4%. Let's check in with her at Christmas.

Playing for fun/free at home on phone/computer and I can stay around even. Can’t even come close at the casino by year end with the same pay table. This has been going on for years and millions on hands. The most frequent observation is the difference in frequency of quads on 9/6 JOB. I have had no dealt Royal in about 7 million hands.

Dealt RF is just a vanity statistic. Far more important is whether one played full coin on the hand. My failure to do so made last year's a footnote. I usually hit the desired number of quads/premium hands per hour. But if they come in 1-4 coin bets, I am a net loser on the trip. So I'm still angry and upset.

When my late wife introduced me to VP, one of the first things she said was always play full coin. If you can't, don't play. To echo onemoretry, FAA the lyrics of Peter, Paul and Mary's "Where Have All the Flowers Gone", apply to you, "Oh when will they ever learn, oh when will they ever learn."onemoretry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 07, 2023 6:29 amWell, to repeat what has already been said many times - there is a solution to this "problem".

Somehow, on the planet Bizarro, the Mrs was plus for 2022 on 7/5 DDB and plus so far this year. The pay table is horrendous. Somehow, she does it. Probably just a tiny bit up, but up is better than down. She doesn’t go as often as me, but uses a super mild form of my Martingale Clone in playing. She also like me has Marathon sessions hoping to wait out the long cold cycles and catch a good 5 or ten minutes which is usually all they give us. What she does on nickel Ultimate X is keep track of her betting and when necessary will up her bets even to quarters if she has to. I think she kind of figures out how much she needs to bet to stay even if she hits quad aces or quad 2 3 4 with kickers. If she hits them with multipliers and gets ahead she usually quits. Sometimes her sessions can like mine be 8-10 hours and once in awhile she busts her max 400 buck budget. On quarters, I would need a 2,000 budget and on dollars an 8,000 budget. Still would lose it all sometimes. I think over time the rare Royal or Aces with multipliers has paid for her busting sessions.

RNG regulations vary from state to state, but I did find this article from the Nevada gaming commission that outlines the requirements of the RNG: https://gaming.nv.gov/modules/showdocum ... entid=3450. Here is also another link (straight from this site & software developer of most VP machines) that outlines the RNG. https://www.videopoker.com/learn/superstitions/#rng. The local gaming commission regulates the integrity of the RNG. Even if the casinos could manipulate RNGs, it would not be worth losing their gaming license.

And, thank you. Especially your last sentence.
