Member's Rule - unable to "x" comments

Thanks for adding a method to replace objectional comments with symbols by hitting the x.
But, it doesn't work consistently. Sometimes, x works and sometimes it doesn't.

What gives?

Why does this function not work? I can "x" a single offensive comment but no others?????
