Okay, Mr. Vegas. The rest of the country will just have to adjust to local conditions, which are not terrible here.

People will differ on their standards of what's a good game, but I was reacting in context of Carcounter's 8 of 10 winning years. I'm surprised it wasn't 10 of 10.
Reportedly (I wasn't there), AC had outstanding games in the 2000s. AA paid 100.7%. The two Double Joker variants were both near breakeven at reset. Better progressives than today. And better slot clubs.
Today you're playing negative games, and mostly you're not even getting full club value because they require >$10 per point (Caesars properties).

As we speak,Bizarro World/ Mohegan Sun is downgrading 3 of my favorite 99 percent games. I will report back This has been going on for several days so I have no idea why. A crew of four working on replacing these 3 bar machines in the Earth casino. I know the tech installers have nothing to do with these decions, but I couldn’t help chatting with them a couple of minutes. I pretty much just said….why in the world would they replace machines like these when every year since you opened, I have left between 10,000 and 80,000 bucks here. A serious VP player will never play these machines again and by the way, Foxwoods is only 15 minutes away!! He just said…I hear you. It’s the bean counters….Yep!! Well, it will be their loss if they remove the few remaining 99 percent machines. I just call it legal rigging because with a 96 percent paytable, I have less than a 0 chance of staying anywhere near even after between 1-2 million hands played a year.

One reason basically I have stopped playing VP at local casinos is the degradation of paytables and progressive meters. I wouldn't call that rigged but rather overcharging for a recreational activity in a broad sense. Still enjoy VP but now I play almost exclusively the contests on this site. Fulfils my occasional craving.

I could probably play here now that I have my new phone. SE Gen 3. About 1/3 the cost of other I phones. Has everything I need and more.

Talk about trouble in paradise! Inflation has finally caught up with MS. They know only too well that they’re not the only game in town. I’m sure they ran the numbers on those three. But they were likely collateral damage swept up in the cost cutting buzz saw frenzy. When McDonald’s and FedEx are cost cutting like fiends, can casinos ignore the economy? It’s privately held. The tribe owns it and they answer only to themselves. As I’ve warned, Mohegan means wolf.

I try not to play on my cellphone. I'm old fashioned, only use my desk top. Large screen so I can see better.olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 3:34 pmI could probably play here now that I have my new phone. SE Gen 3. About 1/3 the cost of other I phones. Has everything I need and more.

The SE Gen 3 is 4.7” and excellent bang for the buck. That said, I’m strictly a large screen player. It has to be at least a tablet, which I’m buying using proceeds from my first hand pay. This may be a while.

To my way of thinking, downgrades are consistent with fair machines. If they have the ability to cheat, why would they downgrade?olds442jetaway wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 10:11 amAs we speak,Bizarro World/ Mohegan Sun is downgrading 3 of my favorite 99 percent games.
