Play max coin at Horseshoe!

Post by RoyalBird »

This past Friday, at the Horseshoe in Bossier City, LA, I found that the paytable for DDB quarter machines was 9/6.  This was great, since here in Oklahoma, we usually get 8/5 or 7/5 at the Indian casinos. I don't always play max coin when playing five play, or ten play,  but then I noticed that for the Royal Flush  they only pay 250 per coin for each of the first 4 coins, then a full 4000 for max coin !  Don't most machines pay 500 for each coin, for less than max coin ?

no the paytables for notural royal 250,500,750,1000,4000 thats why it is good idea to play 5 coins that is about 2% in expected value. the whole reason to play is to hit the royal

royalbird, wouldn't you feel ill if you hit an RF with less than max coins in because you were trying to stretch your bankroll or playing beyond your means? Foolish! Play within your means and ALWAYS play max coinage!

Ed you made a good point. If I could only afford to either play nickels at max coins in vs. only playing like 3 coins a line on a quarter machine I'd much rather get as much bang for my buck as I could and play nickels at max. I did see a guy last fall hit a quarter royal and he was only playing 1 coin a line. He thought the machine was not going to hit again so he got up from it, I sat down and started playing max coins and about 20 minutes later I hit a royal on the machine. He made a comment to me about my hitting the royal and I said basically that; "Some days I'd rather be lucky than skilled." Good luck, Ted.
